We stayed here at the end of May for 3 nights. We loved the place. It's in its own park located really close to the Chenonceaux castle. We had room 9 which was spacious and had a nice bathroom with shower cabin with music. The view was straight out to a field with cows. The 3 course dinner with ox... More

I have stayed at this bijou little hotel several times over the years, It is quaint and in a lovely park-like setting. The staff are all very friendly, and the owner goes out of his way to assist with any special requirements, It is clean and comfortable. To sit on the terrace and enjoy a glass of chilled champagne before... More

My mother and I found this place by chance and we're so glad we did! It had so much character and although the host was a little brusque to begin with, it was actually just his way of being efficient. The room (downstairs) was lovely, clean and well appointed. The bathroom was very clean and quite modern, especially considering the... More

I took a chance, after reading some of the other reviews, and stayed here in May. It's a maevelous place. The grounds make it special. I saw more birds there in 2 days than I did in 2 weeks in the rest of France. There were no odors, other than what you might expect from a place almost 300 years... More

We chose the Château de l'Isle as our base for a quiet romantic winter get-away to Chenonceaux. The hotel is a lovely old 18th century house on the periphery of Civray-de-Touraine village, maybe 25 minutes' walk away from Chenonceaux village. The hotel grounds are spacious, green, with a nice pond. The building is charming. The room was smallish but bright... More

dear future guests of this hotel! my experience in it was awfull. do not believe nice photos. inside it is not very clean, smelly with food and cold. the plus side is that the bathroom is quite modern. the owner is rude. the dinner for 27 euros consisted of tiny amount of starter made of something reminding pieces of salmon.... We arrived near Chenonceaux Castle rather late so my husband was very edgy and decided that the Hotel would do for one night. When you walk in the smell really gets to you and thank goodness our room wasn't smelly. Dinner time was terrible, I nearly froze to death instead of sitting us in their wonderful room with a fireplace... More

We were blatantly scammed us out of 30 Euros. It goes like this. We called the hotel in the afternoon to let them know that we were running late and would be arriving later than expected. The gentleman we spoke with said they had no record of our reservation, although we had a printed copy of a confirmation sent by... More

The man that greeted us (if you want to call it a greeting) was incredibly rude. If fact, THE most rude person i have ever encountered. We decided to stay anyways as we had driven a long way that day and needed a place to stay. Our room was nice with large windows that opened to a lovely view of... More

The reviews of this place are several years old and do not do it justice. I believe the property must have been recently remodeled... the bathroom in our room was state of the art; the dining area has been remodeled and is surrounded by glass windows; and no mold or smell to be noticed by this person with allergies. The... More
