Diliyan is not directly what I would like to call a tourist destination, but when travelling in Armenia, the Tufenkian Diliyan Complex is a great place for a good night sleep. The hotel consists of several antiqye houses along Diliyan's main road. But strangely enough, there is no street noice in the rooms. These rooms are furnished with beautiful Armenian... More

A great hotel to stay for one or two nights while exploring northern Armenia. We had a great pleasure to stay in room no. 2 which i believe is one of the nicest rooms in the resort, with a huge balcony overlooking Dilijan and the mountains. The interior furniture belonged to the last centuries , and it was a great... More

When you first arrive, you think you are arriving at a European mountain resort. Quaint and charming. Once you get inside however things change. First off, the lady at reception was kind, but very unhelpful. For a hotel in a "mountain resort" area, you would think reception would know about hiking and other activities, but she was clueless and could... More

Dear alwaysontherun2014, Thank you for the review. We truly appreciate your feedback. The guesthouse of Old Dilijan Complex is a 19th century building which was restored and refurbished keeping the antique look and feel, which is one of the reasons there is no air conditioner. Also the Dilijan weather is usually rather cool at night and there's been no need... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 5 days. The Hotel and rooms are nicely designed trying to revive old Dilijan building style. Overall hotel grounds create an impression of being a part of the old Armenian town end of 19th century. The hotel is located up the hill so you can get lovely mountain views. Unfortunately it... This is an adequate hotel, for a one night stay, while touring Dilijan. The staff was amiable and helpful. The room and bathroom had tea/coffee making facilities, which was an added plus. The hotel grounds portray a local village with a few, small workshops and shops. The merchandise sold is all made in Armenia and of good quality. Just check... More

True, the beds are lovely Sealy mattresses and the room has a lovely view, especially if you are lucky enough to get a balcony. This is the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in, and I've been to 90 countries including many, many third world. There are sheer curtains but as soon as the sun gets up you will to, as... More

Absolutely excellent . Would of stayed for a lot longer there. Very helpful staff, and fantastic restaurant and a packed lunch instead of breakfast as we were leaving very early, room was fantastic , very traditional. Although the gas supply to Dilijan was cut off the room was warm and the water was hot for the shower. Would 100% stay... More

We stayed during 2013-2014 New Year Holidays. Very friendly hotel staff. Food is delicious. I recommend to try Western Armenian dishes at Haykanoush restaurant. Despite there is no amusement facilities for kids our children did not want to leave the hotel.

Tufenkian is a nice hotel in the city center. The staff is great and they have a very good english. The room and the hotel have a very cousy old fashion style. Everything works properly. The hotel has a beautiful restaurant where you can spend some time in Dilijan, drinking a beer or having a delicious meal. Some rooms are... More

The hotel is really nice and picturesque with truly Armenian style. Unfortunately the hotel is just the only remaining nice part of the old Dilijan (it had to be a nice towh during the Soviet era, but it is poorely maintained, but the surrounding nature is wonderful. I have travelled a lot, but never seen so beautiful mountain meadows with... More
