This is probably one of the more unusual hotels I stayed in (in a good way).

Tufankian is an Armenian-American that started the modern hand made carpet business in Armenia. He went on to invest in his ancestry through a series of beautiful hotels.

This is one of the newest. It is actually a restoration of a part of Old Dilijan. The interesting thing is there are only two rooms but let me explain. A large, modern hotel complex is being constructed on the property and should be finished in about two years. In the meantime Tufankian has restored a two story house and made each floor a sort of hotel room (they call them apartments). The rooms are very beautiful and decorated with rare carpets and antiques. There is a spacious bedroom, living room with fold out bed/coach, LCD TV, rustic antique table and chairs, foyer, and modern but rustic looking bathroom.
