My husband and I stayed in The Douglas Hotel on our way to St. Andrews for one night to have a rest from all this driving from Berkshire. The Douglas is a small hotel on the A7 Carlisle-Edinburgh road. The rooms are well furnished clean and comfortable. The menu is imaginative,the food of a high standard,very tasty with most produce sourced localy. A warm friendly welcome awaits. more
