The merrymouth inn is situated 4miles north of Burford on the A424.It offers a decent sized car park and has 9 ensuite rooms. Our room was a real bargain at 60 pounds with breakfasts and the room itself was of an average offering. The room was very clean but very basic and had some nice characteristic touches like beamed ceilings and exposed... We stayed at the Merrymouth Inn last night. What a friendly and warm place to visit. Bill was friendly and welcoming. His staff were also welcoming, helpful and friendly. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. The food was delicious and plentiful, both evening meal and breakfast. I was served the biggest slice of treacle tart ever seen! We... More

I have visited this inn on many occasions with my 2 children, husband and friends. I have to say the food here has been excellent every time I have been without fail. Last week we visited and had a sunday roast, mine was vegetarian and it was the best veggie dinner I have ever eaten! My kids always enjoy the... More

We received such a warm and friendly welcome from Bill and his team who treated us like old friends. The dinner was excellent especially the Cotswold Rack of Lamb and Bills Curry. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee supplied. In the morning the breakfast was plentiful and the service was faultless throughout our stay.... More

We arrived and wandered in, a bit like the Mary Celeste. Chris appeared from somewhere, an asset for the establishment. He showed us to our room. We ventured down for our evening meal, very good service and good food. Strange sounds in the night, but we are out in the country, us town dwellers don't realise how different it can... More

It is rare to find a hotel manager who meets the guests, asks their first names and them remembers them by name throughout the stay This is a super, friendly place. Had a great meal on Sunday and a five star breakfast on Sunday Top marks Bill
