“Smal, basic, clean and cheap”

By western european standards, the hotel was very basic. However, you get what you pay for and at the room rate (equivalent to a youth hostel bed in Germany) you get a small, clean, basic room in a re-built monastry building. The Hotel Klaster Tepla gets four stars from me, not because of the hotel rooms or the restaurant, but for its location. Built on the abbey grounds with a church dating from the 1100s and an incredible library , the kloster hotel is built in the refurbished barns/stables of the monastery. What a place to visit.
