As part of a trip to Guilin and Yangshuo we also spend one night at this hotel (two adults & two children). The hotel is very nice and especially the individually themed rooms and the photographies in the corridors and in other areas of the hotel give it it's special charme. However, the clientel is mainly western in the upper... More

Stunning views. Great food. Incredible setting. Sleep quality is perfect; just ask for room away from the trail that passes by the front door. Well worth the hike to get there. A local television station was filming a commercial with children from the area just outside the front doors. The hike around the hills of the area is quite spectacular.... More

we were a bit unlucky with the weather . so what is better than staying in a unique place. the staff and the whole atmosphere were terrific. we stayed in a back room, still cosy, but if you have the chance book a corner room.

This Lodge was one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. Access is by a small road that we have to climb on foot. Local women carry our bags and the men carry people who can not make the ascent on foot. It is a form of subsistence to them, so we must help and let them do... More

I stayed in Li-An Lodge in China for three nights (June 17-20) and had an amazing experience. The location, high up on a mountainside, give splendid views of the rice paddies coursing down the mountain in terraces. The hotel is an all-wood construction with not a nail in it. The owner, Mr. Keren Su, took 9 years to build it.... More

As other reviewers have said, the hotel is at the top of a mountain so you must hike up steps for about 10-15 minutes to get to the hotel, but once there, you will not regret it. The staff greets you with cold lemon water and cold towels to rejuvenate your body, and the view rejuvenates your soul. If you... More

You shoulld walk hard and steepy before getting to the place. However, you can always have somebody to climb you on a chair. The service, when you arrive is excellent. A glass of lemon water welcomes you, and then a personalized room in a wooden traditional chinese building. The hotel is very cozy and comfortable. The staff very friendly and... More

We stayed here toward the end of an outstanding three-week trip in China and it was a real highlight. The Longsheng area is a stunning mix of mountain beauty mixed with ancient human interaction through the construction of the rice terraces. And Li-An Lodge is a fantastic base to enjoy it all. We and the couple we were traveling with... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at Li An Lodge. The location is breath taking. Ask for a room which faces the terraces! Each room is unique with a high level of comfort provided. The price is a bit steep but worth it!!!! We had friends who stayed elsewhere in Ping'an and they were disappointed and regretted not paying the... More

Driving up to the Quilin B&B seemed odd as it is in an apartment complex. I am more familiar with b&b's that can accomidate several groups. This is 3 bedrooms with 2 baths, one being with a large bedroom. Inside this apartment was very clean and wonderful in a nice quiet, centrally located neighborhood. There were no external sounds coming... More
