Handsome hostel. All wood. Try to get a corner room so you can windows on two sides. Amazing views and easy hiking (if you can handle hundreds of steps). Great food. Warm comfy bed (with an electric blanket!). Hot powerful shower. Nice people.

My girlfriend and I traveled here last year while living in China. The hike up the side of the mountain was stunningly beautiful, once you'd shaken off the elderly, indigenous women's offers for bag transportation. A small, wooden room awaited us with a comfortable bed and a desk. The bathroom was reminiscent of a caravan with a hose pipe for... More

I traveled here with my friend in September 2014. The hostel is literally a hike up the mountainside as there are no roads that lead all the way to Tian Tou Village. We are not so out of shape to be unable to hike with our 15kg packs, but it still took a lot of effort. We enjoyed the hike,... More

Take a taxi to the bus station and the bus to the Longshen Rice Terraces. Arrive at a large parking area. Don't take too much baggage. The best is a small back pack and a hat. Start climbing. After climbing more than 800 !!! stone steps (about 2 hours) we arrived at the Dragon's Den Hostel in Dazhai Village. On... More

I did some research before going to Longji and understood that most of the inns there were made of wood with bad acoustic. Luckily, at the time we stayed, most of the guests were polite and quiet, so we could have good sleep there. It takes 45 min to climb to the hostel after you get off the bus, but... More

I have booked just one night through their website. They replied very quickly. I booked a twin room with shared bathroom, for little difference I would get the room with an ensuite bathroom. Great location in front of the terraces. Staff very kind and helpful with the right indications how to move; English spoken. Food was good and honest prices.... More

Paper thin walls but good for the price. You will probably need direction on how to get there, try one of their fliers on the Wada Hostel in Guilin or check the webpage. Good views, food was just great, nearly perfect.

It is the best place I have visited in China. The views from our room were amazing. Beautiful wooden room. Very nice staff. They speak english and they are very helpful. Good chinese food for dinner. It is a very relaxing place. It is a typical wooden house, right in the middle of the mountain.

Besides the great place with nice atmosphere and view, the staff was my favorite! They were so friendly and helpfull not only with information regarding my stay but even in a emergency about transport when I had already left, I will never forget this and I am very thankfull. Everything was perfect, maybe would change only the noise that comes... More

We stayed at Dazhai for two nights and loved our stay. The room was clean and simple, rudimentary bathrooms but clean! The staff at the hostel were great. They helped us plan a trek around the rice terraces and a bus to Yangshuo. They also made us a pot of local tea when we asked about it and showed us... More
