This was our first stop out of Shanghai, and we were pretty happy with it. We were met at the airport by one of the guys who runs the hotel and we got to Pingan just before dark. It takes about 15 or 20 minutes to climb up to the hotel, which wasn't a problem for us, and I guess... More

This property is in an area where vehicle access does not exist and probably neither do building regulations. But it is fun even when the power is off because of a storm or when a group of locals come to celebrate something that requires rapid consumption of drinks. Our room had great views from the balcony and plenty of space.... More

The Li Qing Hotel is simple but clean with very firm beds. A reasonable menu is served, and it is almost essential to eat there if dining after dusk as the steps are not well lit. There is a large communal area for dining or seating, and 2 verandas if weather and temperature permit. Our room had small balcony. Full... More

We (family with two teenage kids) spent two nights here. The rooms and bathroom are small and simple. Meals, including the breakfast, are fine. Needed since there are not exactly many alternatives in the village. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace on the first afternoon. Wifi worked and the staff kind. There is a steep half hour walk from... More

We stayed in Liqing 2. The hotel is simply good given the remoteness of the village. Ping'an cannot be reached by car. It is a 30 minute walk from the parking place uphill to Ping'an village. It is beautifully located between the rice fields on the many hills. We spotted a cockroch or two on our room, but we lived... More

I just stayed at this wonderful hotel. Not only were the views beautiful but the whole experience was amazing. The food was excellent, homemade spring rolls, fresh! The room was cute and clean. The dinner and breakfast on the patio was amazing. The owners are great as I sat and enjoyed rice wine with them. The hiking nearby and the... More

Pretty hotel towards the top of Ping'An. Great location to see the terraces. All the important things were great - room was clean, AC worked, shower was OK, food was reasonable, beer was cold, internet functioned. As others have mentioned, you need to leave your transport at the bottom of the hill and climb stone steps for about 30 mins... More

Situated in the south of China in a area great for shutter bugs. With the rice paddy's and the terraces with all the crops hugging the hillsides makes this a great place to stay. Rooms have great views of the valley and the village. Great food in the attached restaurant. On the deck overlooking the countryside is great for that... More

This hotel is in a pedestrian only area. Once arriving at the parking, there is a 20 minute brisk climb to the hotel. There are porters available to help with your bag. The hotel offers a full service restaurant and bar. The food was good. Bath facilities were adequate with hot water from 7am to 10pm. The staff has limited... More
