We had arranged our 1 night stay with the lovely owner, Sandy - whom has great English skills & from Shanghai, originally (I believe). She was easy to work with, even though our plans had to change several times. Transport was all taken care of by her & we had no issues (after walking quickly past the line of touts... More

The first thing I liked about the Wisdom Inn, was that Sandy, the owner, was always prompt and polite to answer my many emails and questions leading up to the trip. Once I was in China I was always able to easily get in touch with her by email, when I was on wireless, or with my China Mobile phone... More

We read about this inn and booked it months before we arrived, and were in contact with Sandy, sending her emails (asking all kinds of questions) which she answered promptly. There was a land slide close by blocking the road there, which made the drive for us in two parts, one from the airport to the location of the slide,... More

Stayed at Wisdom Inn in April 2014 for 2 nights. It was long enough. I must say that we were all disappointed after reading the rave reviews from other visitors. First of all i must point out that if you get Sandy to arrange a taxi transfer for you, do not pay the taxi driver. We were not told this... More

Currently for sure the best hotel according to western standards in Dazhai. The rooms are clean and quite cosy. Unfortunately the bed were pretty hard and also a little bit smelly. The food in the restaurant was average. All in all the price for what you get is quite high. Better stay first here and later on travel on to... More

Arriving at 3am (plane delays) Sandy welcomed us after a tiring day of travel with 2 young kids. The first night was freezing, but when Sandy brought us a 2nd heater, it was enough to warm the large family room we got. There was limited hot water but I think most hotels in the area will have the same issues... More

This hotel is run by Sandy who speaks English and is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are nice and the whole house is very clean. Its location close to the entrance is convenient - no need to hire a carrier (which will ask you to carry your luggage as soon as you descend the bus). I think it is... More

We booked Wisdom Inn basing on the exceptional comments from other travellers but were a bit disheartened upon arrival. Location: The hotel was ideally located right at the entrance of the Dazhai village so we didn't have to walk up the hill with our 2 big suitcases. This is one of the reason we picked this hotel. It was also... More

The Wisdom Inn is the most conveniently-located sleeping place in town, being only a short stroll away from the bus terminal. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, and the complimentary drink on arrival is a nice touch. Rooms are of a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. The entire guesthouse has a warm rustic feel to it, without being... More

Wisdom Inn is the first hotel you will encounter on the way in from the carpark (an 8 minutes walk on a flat cobblestone path) so there is no need to hire a porter to carry your bags. Shoes are not allowed beyond the first level but you'll be provided with disposable slippers. We were welcomed with hot ginger tea... More
