We booked for just an overnight stay and were very happy. The grounds are lovely and the hotel looks charming. Staff were very welcoming and our first floor room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We did not use the bar but food in the restaurant - dinner and breakfast - was very good. Our only complaint concerns drunken visitors leaving... More

I've stayed there twice this year - one night in the annexe in January & two nights in the main building. The reception staff are welcoming - no problem booking in after 5 as they also look after the small bar. The rooms are comfortable & warm (with wifi). The food is only OK - perhaps the chef tries too... More

Just tried to book this hotel for a Friday night in April as it looks so good from reviews and photos. Managed to get the room OK but was then told a) we had to arrive before 5.00pm as reception closed after that (keys would be left in an envelope for us) and b) the restaurant is closed on Friday... The hotel is set in delightful grounds. Our bedroom on the first floor had recently been completely renovated and all fittings and fixtures were new - the carpet, curtains were spotless, the toilet floor and walls had recently been re-tiled as had the bathroom where a new sink and bath were fitted. We had a huge TV (about 42" I... More

We had been looking for a good restaurant in Chateaubriant and looked at a 'Logis' recommendation. We were a party of eight and only spotted this hotel/restaurant at the last minute whilst visiting the market at Chateaubriant so we hadn't had time to make a reservation. We walked in and asked if they could accommodate us and they could. There... More

We spent an overnight stop at this lovely hotel on our way from Brittany to Normandy. We had a huge, fantastic room in the main building. The hotel was very quiet,we saw only one other couple during our stay and were the only ones at breakfast.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel as a stopover on the return leg of our recent French odyssey which took in Normandy, Loire and Les Gers. After 6 hours on the road we turned into the gates of the hotel to be presented with a vision which would grace a BBC period drama set in HD. The chateau style hotel sits in... More

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times but over 20 years ago, then we thought it charming, peaceful and with an excellent restaurant and were delighted to find that over that period of time it had changed very little. Our room in the old building was comfortable, spacious and attractively furnished. Dinner in the restaurant was first-class... More

We enjoyed our brief stay very much. We were welcomed by a charming lady, who was very kind and anxious to ensure that we were happy with our room, which we were. Our room in the old building was very spacious, nicely decoatrated, in excellent condition, with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. We had a drink in the bar... More

A friend and I arrived on-spec having cycled c160km from St Malo and were well greeted and offered a twin room. The building is a large house converted in to a hotel. The room was comfortable, well appointed, had a good view of the grounds and was good value. The dinner was excellent and breakfast was up to the job... More
