We went to this resort as it was recommended by a co-worker for the peacefulness and beauty. We were not disappointed at all; we were welcomed by the owners when we registered. We walked into Trapper Cabin#2 not sure it would be like the pictures on the website. It was not because the pictures do not show how absolutely amazing... More

Every year we go back up to Oyama Lake Fishing Resort, because of the peacefulness, the true touch of nature , as the outhouses and cabins are built at the resort using real trees not junk.. We take our dog with us , and have never had an issue with dog landmines , as we assume , as others would we pick... More

I don't understand why people complain about the things that they are already told. When we phoned and booked a cabin we were told that the road was rough...as it is a logging road. Once you get there it is absolutely beautiful, this is why we keep coming back. You will not see cigarettes butts or garbage anywhere. You are told... More

We enjoyed our weekend at the Oyama Lake Resort. It was a nice get away! The road coming up the mountain is bumpy, but once you get there it was worth it. The owners were on property and were very nice with a fast check in. In the office is a small store for your personal and fishing needs which... More

I have yet to stay at the resort but just a heads up you can camp for free on Oyama lake if you are looking for a more wild experience. Oyama Lake is very is a great destination for campers. Although the road in is bumpy and an uphill climb you can easily make head up in two wheel drive... More

Wow, the trip started by driving up a road that takes 45 minutes to drive 15 km. The road is washed out everywhere. Don't let the pictures fool you, this place is a dump. The cabins are as comfortable as a cardboard box. The beds are made of whatever scrap wood they could find to hammer together. They will rent... More

We rented one of the Trapper cabins with my son and daughter in law from the coast. We were amazed at the peaceful, serene quiet of the entire place. The sound of loons in the morning, the lake that we had all to ourselves for the day when we rented a boat, the campfire in the evening and all the... More

First and foremost, pay no attention to the negative reviews on this site. The people who made these reviews have no idea what they are talking about! The comments about the massive amount of bugs, well..... Of course there are a few but it's not bad at all. Just spent 3 days here, got one mosquito bite. It's a fishing... More

We stayed with a friend who rented a cabin, breat fly fishing and trawling lake! Bugs can get a bit bad make sure to have DET spray! Other than that, it was an amazing piece of serene BC! I would recommend to anyone who is looking to get away from the city! We met the owner and his wife, they... More
