We stayed for two nights in March 2014. Richard and Catherine were very welcoming. Our room was large and decorated beautifully. Breakfast was exceptional and was served downstairs and consisted of fresh fruit, home made yoghurt, breads and croissants. We had to park our car outside on the street which was okay but one night we came back after dinner... More

We arrived quite late and very weary, after negotiating Rouen in the pouring rain. It was a real pleasure when the barn door was opened and a lovely haven appeared. The room was very clean, light and airey and very comfortable. The owners could not have been more helpful, and it was a little gem.Breakfast was very enjoyable and the... More

My husband, myself & our two friends have just visited this wonderful B&B. It is set in the charming and clean town of Camon - uncongested on a main street with plenty of easy parking. Entering via a barn door into a beautiful flower & shrub laden courtyard. Catherine welcomed us warmly and explained all that we needed to know... More

Marvelously renovated, very private courtyard rooms, in delightful suburb of Amiens. Plenty of parking. Easy street access through secure courtyard door. Breakfast is superb, and there are interesting restaurants in Amiens and along the river for other meals. Owners are enthusiastically helpful about local sights and war memorials. This is a great base if doing several visits to memorial sites,... More

Lovely comfortable and well equipped gite. Impeccably clean with lovely original features and typical French feel. Our hosts were very helpful and not all intrusive. The centre of Amiens is a 3 km scenic walk along the river taking you past the unique and very beautiful "hortillenages" worth the visit in themselves.

The accommodation was average, one too many cobwebs and spiders for our liking. Accommodation a little too close to owners property, no privacy. Bookings are made by sending a cheque for a reasonable sum of money as a deposit which is returnable on leaving. Holiday paid for in full on arrival, cash only. As we were leaving early on Saturday... More

We spent four nights with Richard and Catherine in Camon and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Their B&B is charming. It is in a converted farmhouse adjacent to their home, with a comfortable bed, plenty of space, a good shower and enjoyable breakfasts served in the kitchen/dining room downstairs. Richard and Catherine are both teachers and their English is very good... More

Grange de la Herde provided our first experience staying at a gîte, a self-catering cottage. We'd do it again assuming all gîtes are nice as this one in Camon, located just 2.6 miles from the heart of Amiens. Catherine and Richard Devisse, who are both math teachers, are marvelous hosts who have really thought out what it takes to accommodate... More

Spent 3 nights here. Richard and Catherine made us very welcome with their warm hospitality. The room was excellent - clean and frech with everything we wanted on hand. The breakfasts were filling and generous - locally sourced and home produced. We couldn't fault it. Camon is on the outskirts of Amiens which is a picturesque city with some good... More

We stayed two nights at this delightful B&B. Richard is a wonderful host - very knowledgeable about WW1 battlefields in the area. He speaks English and teaches it at the local school. Breakfast was downstairs and was excellent. We stayed in a large room with a very comfortable bed. The bathrroom was large and had a decent shower! From here... More
