We booked this holiday through a Travel Agents and with it been the cheapest (£280 + flights and B&B) we thought it was not going to be the greatest of hotels...... But we came on a lads holiday to experience the nightlife of Sunny Beach so we didn't care too much about the hotel as the plan was to not... More

The hotel is desperately in need of a refurbishment. The carpets in the corridors are all warn ripped and stained. The outside if the hotel needs painted. The balconies all show signs of rusting. The swimming pool bar has a stool that has been broken, it has just been left in the pool rusting away and is a big health... More

We stayed here in July 2013, and honestly, had very few complaints. Our room was spacious, clean and modern, we got on excellently with the staff, kids enjoyed the pool. Only little niggles we had, food wasn't great although we found something every morning. (Bed and breakfast). And one of the lifts broke quite often during our stay, not really... More

In 2013 it was alright. Hotel looked good, service and food were OK. So, I decided to go to the same place next year, in 2014. Big mistake. Rooms were not cleaned properly, so I didn't even leave tips for housekeeping, which happens not often with me. Food on the breakfast (I had B&B) was 75% off, so I only... More

Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. I don’t usually go to this kind of resort, I prefer somewhere a little bit more off the beaten track, but the bargain offer came by email, the hotel looked ok and the price for two week at half board even better, so I packed my bags and away I went. The first surprise I had on... More

Not too bad, could be better, could be worse..I'm sure there are better hotels in Sunny Beach but the Korona was not as bad as some reviews suggest, not in my opinion anyway..The hotel was clean, breakfast ok,nothing special..Close to the beach and a short walk to the main centre..Reception staff were friendly,I think the main problem here is the language barrier..A few things... Upon arrival you would be forgiven for thinking that you had got yourself a bargain. The building looks quite modern and the reception is welcoming and relatively slick. This is the only positive comment I will be making about this hotel. The reception staff speak very little English, which admittedly is significantly better than my Bulgarian, but they are rude... Only good thing about this hotel was the location , stayed here for one week with family and friends, hotel is filthy, pool area filthy sun loungers hard and uncomfortable. Bar staff friendly we only had a drink at the beginning of the night to all meet up, went for breakfast first day did not eat in there for the... More

This is the first time I've ever complained about a hotel as I'm of the belief that a hotel is where you lay your head but even that was dangerous. The nicest part of the korona is reception but the rest is downright disgusting. I stayed b+b and I used breakfast 3 times in a 2 week stay. The first... More
