Service soo slow. Need more staff waited 45mins for food. Which was meant to be a sizzler. I can tell you now there was nothing sizzling on my plate.. another couple had waited that long for food they ended up just asking for their money back. Think management want to have a look at service and kitchen.

Tried this pub again for lunch & they are still using just two staff, one behind the bar & one delivering food, to what can be a very busy lunchtime service, add to the fact that some of their customers seem to have been brought up in a rubbish tip & the lady waiting on had to clean up after... We were looking for a venue to hold our annual xmas family get together Cthat had been canceled fore the lay couple odd years due to unforeseen circumstances. Coming from a big family we were worried about it being able to hold us all. Thankfully I found this little gem of a place. I rang and asked if they could... More

Ate here lunchtime mid week, there was a gentleman serving & taking food orders, ordered our food & drinks & asked for the tea to be served with the food. Food was duly served with a comment about bringing the tea when she "had time". Not good enough, she proceeded to serve behind the bar, take orders, serve food, where... More

Following a very poor experience at a Greene King establishment a couple of months ago in their home area, my wife and I decided to give the Queens Head in our local area of Chester Le Street a go. OH MY DAYS! what a difference. We found the staff on duty (Vicky & Tony) to be very welcoming and also... More

Just had lunch here, all day breakfast big enough that 2 of us shared it with an extra portion of chips, although it could have done with being a bit hotter, other party member had chicken fajitas which came on a sizzling platter with 3 wraps, sour cream. cheese & salsa, large coke, tea & coffee came to £15.78, not... Came for a meal and a quick drink one evening when our own hotel decided to not serve food after 7pm (even though we checked in at 6.50pm). The place is what it is, a Wetherspoon type place serving cheap and reasonable food. The portion sizes were quite generous, the food hot and ordinary. When I ordered at the bar... More

I take my 81 year old parents here for lunch at least once per week, the menu is varied and is changed every so often. Myself and my family also go here on an evening where on mondays and tuesdays you can get a rump steak chips and peas plus a drink for £4.49 now I am aware that rump... More

To keep this review brief we go here all the time for lunches and especially Sunday Lunches! The sunday lunch is like slabs of meat I would say not the usual thin slips of meat you at most places . Its a great place where you feel welcome and to be honest its like being invited into someones house for... More
