We stayed here in a family room. Spacious room. We were travelling to Durham Chester-Le-Street Cricket. Very good position and only 5 minutes in a taxi. Hotel a little tired but clean and friendly welcome. Never used the pub next door but it was always busy.

A good well placed Travelodge if staying in the Chester-Le-Street area. Rooms clean, bed comfortable and the staff helpful. Its the service you would expect from this chain and I wasn't disappointed, would return again if and when in the area.

I've stayed in a few Travelodges around England. Some aren't so good, but this one is very nice. The hotel itself and rooms are good. Pleasantly located with good views back and front. The reception is at the back where there is also a garden overlooking a farmer's field. Parking is free. Beds are good. Big modern TV. My room... More

Probably the most welcoming and friendly hotel we have stayed in, in a very long time, well done to all the staff. Ideally located on a main road, easy free parking with great food next door in the adjacent pub.

The room was very clean and warm. Previous reviews have mentioned it being dated. Yes it is but why throw away decent furniture. The only thing I would comment about is the reception is around the back of the building which is very unwelcoming.

This was an ideal place to stay. The room was large and clean though a little dated. Pretty quiet considering it is situated on the A167 duel carriageway. The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. We had a larger than average family room which allowed the children enough space to play which is unusual these days. The garden to... More

Despite indications over the last couple of years this Travel Lodge is still an old 22 bed unit that is past it's best by date. The rooms are old fashioned: there is no chair to relax in, just one dining type chair: Only one hand towel is supplied, and no bath mat, although there where two bath towels: The toilet... More

This small Travelodge is situated on the A167 ona dual carriageway section so it is easy to miss and then awkward to get into having doubled back as a slip road for a neighbouring pub ends at the back of the Lodge car park. Next the Hotel part is hidden craftily at the BACK of the Church Mouse pub which... More

We wanted a little night away so opted for this place. Upon arrival I was so surprised this was part of the travelodge chain. Such a beautiful place and location. We were checked in promptly and advised of our room. I was taking aback by how lovely the room was. It was so clean and just beautiful.
