The hotel is nicely located in the nature and rooms are in the local country style, with colourfoul decorations. Food is buffet style, spicy and not so spicy, but just average. The problem is that you stay there to visit the little rann, where you can find absolutely nothing (boring landscapes, some bird from far away, some wild ass...)

This place might have been pioneering tourism in the Little Rann of Kutch in the 1980's, but since then nothing seems to have been done. It all looks very depressing. From our hut we were facing a tent for workers, a non-descript brick building and a lot of dusty area - all from a small swing for two outside the... More

Among birders Camp Zainabad AKA Desert Coursers has an international reputation. But it's also one of the most wonderful, magic places to stay for everyone else. We know nothing about birds, but we'll keep coming back as long as we can. And you meet the most extraordinary people there from all over India, and the rest of the world. You'll... More

We were a family of 6 adults who booked this place on the recommendation of a friend's friend. The owner, Mr Dhanraj was most friendly, offering useful advice on the region even before we reached his place! As we were very delayed for lunch, he kept it back for us, serving us well past the lunch hour which was highly... More

We stayed with Desert coursers for 3 days. We were welcomed well and treated well from the staff. The owner Mr. Dhanraj Mallik was a receptive person and he used to talk with us daily and ask about our sightings. Room facility was fair. It was neat and clean in form of Kooba Hut. Although there is scope of modernization... More

We were warmly welcomed in Desert Coursers and truly enjoyed the intimacy of this remote place. It definitely has a great feel of getaway and it is a great place to escape the city for a while. Quiet location and safe. Good activities around: safari, cycling around the villages. Owner and his wife was very caring and helpful to make... More

We had a great time at this camp, really feeling like in Holidays. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, very kind and listening to his guests request. Food was tasty and the room has a real charm and a feeling of rural experience. We were not exceptionally passionate about birds or any animals but we really enjoyed the safari... More

We booked this resort as it was one of the few options at Little Rann of Kutch. While the resort itself was decent in terms of the huts and food, the approach and surroundings are pathetic. The approach is through a dirty village & really turned us off. The hosts are helpful & food is decent.

We were geeeted warmly by the owner Mr.Dhanraj Malik on arrival . He is passionate about wildlife and the ecosystem around . It is evident in his personal supervision of the resort. The staff was eager to please . The local cuisine buffet spread was simple and tasty .Breakfast spread was not elaborate though. The resort has a rustic feel... More

I have to agree with many of the commenters here, Dhanraj really does go the extra mile for his guests. I stayed here for a couple of days with my Dad who is a keen wildlife and bird watcher, and Dhanraj took us on extra safaris and organised other trips for my Dad so that he could explore the local...
