As the title says, this Easter was our third family ski holiday staying at the Zauchenseehof hotel. I still get excited when I see the hotel in the distance and know that I'm guaranteed a wonderful relaxing week with frankly what feels like a hotel run by friends! Prior to arrival of our group consisting of 8 adults and 8... More

A very family focused, friendly hotel that caters it seems for families with little children and from the UK. The hotel is modest but comfortable. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful, and the hotel is fully and easily accessible to the main ski lift at Zauchensee. For our family with slightly older children (8-13), this was a bit too... More

Stayed at this hotel again this year for our annual skiing week and once again it was nothing but perfect. It really is hard to fault this place for anything. Food is excellent - 5 months on I can still taste the steak we had on the first night... The facilities are superb, access to ski school and the piste... More

This was our second stay for Spring skiing in the past two years at Hotel Zauchenseehof and it was a success both times. The hotel is wonderful at all levels: clean, modern, excellent half board, in house sauna, steam room, gym (with barbell and weights as well as bicycles), adult pool and children's pool along with a great child care... Found this place after a web search. Looking for a hotel to stay at in Zauchensee as a base for a weeks skiing. Did not realise just how much this hotel catered for young familiesb and we were entertained by little toddlers each evening during meal time. Such a relaxed atmosphere it was a pleasure to see little ones and... More

We travelled from Australia to Austria (over 24hrs travelling by plane and bus) to ski for a week with friends from the UK - they were a family - 4 children, we were a couple. Hotel Zauchenseehof was exceptional in every way - proximity to ski rental and lifts, restaurants, outstanding service, superb rooms and facilities ... the food and... More

Hotel is located right next to gondola, nursery slopes and ski school meeting place, so very convenient for all levels of skier/snowboarder. Nice spa area with pool – if you want to use the sauna or steam room you have to go in naked :) Can’t say if it is a mixed or separate sex area as I was too... More

We stayed at Hotel Zauchenseehof in a party of 12 with mixed ski abilities, ages and interests. We went with Ski Hillwood and were very impressed. Everything was organised for us with minimal faff which was great particularly when it came to ski hire/transfers etc. There were lots of activities and things to do for non-skiers- small bowling alley under... This is a superb hotel. Food was excellent with a 5 course menu every evening. The spa is also very well equipped with multiple different rooms. The boot room is lovely and warm and the exit is about 100m from the ski lifts. Swimming pool is too small for anything other than paddling. We stayed in a room with 4... More

First time skiing in Austria after 9 years in the 3 valleys - my eyes have been well and truly opened!! Went with expert skier husband, our 2 small children and friends with one 11 year old. We booked with Ski Hillwood who only organise holidays through this hotel so are incredibly experienced and knowledgable on ever aspect of the... More
