We had a water-front bungalow. It was quite spacious, with 3 single beds (pushed together to make a double) and door separating bathroom area. Food was ok (we had breakfast and dinner included) eggs for breakfast, bread, fruit, coffee, juice, pastries, granola, cereal, coffee and tea. Dinner was also good! The floor of our bungalow was very squeaky, (bungalow #2)... More

We Stayed here as part of our 6 week trip to FP for 5 nights, we had a beach front bungalow which was very nice, although not really a beach as such but good snorkelling and lots of fish, sharks and we saw dolphins pass by on our first night at the end of the pier in the lagoon, The... More

there were no overwater rooms, but the bungalows were all very nice, we didn't get water front, we were 1 row back, no regrets. the staff were great, they helped every which way, we didn't think to bring the power adapters and there were none to be sold, but the hotel vlt us use their computers for the USB plugs... Just a quick warning: the trip from the airport to the hotel is all of 1/4 mile, so the transfer fee of $18 seems a bit ridiculous, but that was all we found that didn't fit well. Once a Novotel, now the Maitai takes what started in Bora Bora ( 1 1/2 hours west via Air Tahiti) and carries through... More

from the moment we arrived, Alan, the receptionist, greeted us with his calm and cheerful persona. during our 5 night stay, he did everything in his power to make sure we were comfortable and well informed as to the activities, rates and options of things to do on the atoll. he himself is worth another star to the rating of... Went to 3 islands on the honeymoon and all were excellent but my heart is with Rangiroa. We stayed beachside and the accommodations were beautiful and perfect. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We only ate dinner once at the hotel and it was good. I am a picky eater and did go to the small store and restaurant... More

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff is attentive. We had a plan that included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great and there were many choices including hot and cold items. You have to ask for hot dishes. Dinner was sometimes hit and miss. Try to remember to stick to menu items that might have... More

We booked a premium garden bungalow with breakfast and we also booked the pick-up service from the airport in advance. Bed and breakfast, halfboard and fullboard options are also possible. Surroundings: turn right at the hotel gate and in 1 minute there is a small supermarket (dairy products, food and beverages, fruits, bakery products, sweets, cosmetics, ice cream,...), 2-3 walking... The Maitai Rangiroa doesn't get enough love here on TA, and I really don't know why. My wife and I were there just a week ago, and we really enjoyed our stay at the Maitai. We were there for about a week, so we had ample time to experience the property. For the record, we booked through Candice at tahiti.com,... More

First off, Rangiroa is a very remote island, (actually a chain of motu’s that make up a coral reef), with not too many people. Conditions are quite primitive if you are going to compare it to Tahiti. That being said, it is a remarkable place that is still quite pristine! The beach bungalows were quite comfortable, but the A/C could... More
