I stayed at the Intercontinental on Moorea and Le Meridien Bora Bora prior to Maitai Rangiroa. The food at the Le Meridien was extremely disappointing for a 5 star Hotel. We even made a complaint to the F&B manager but it did not improve. When we arrived on Rangiroa, we were a bit concerned of what type of food we... More

I had one of the upgraded garden bungalows which gave me a direct view of the ocean, so it was a fine choice for me. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all very nice. My French is pretty weak, but most of the employees spoke English so I got along just fine with Frangish and English.... More

We had a water front bungalow that had 3 beds… two pushed together and made up as a king and the other held our luggage. The bungalow was clean and stayed at a nice temperature. The only draw back was the room refrigerator was only a cooler… not cold enough to really chill anything. Morning sleep was limited due to... More

On the day of our noon arrival, the lagoon was as beautiful and calm as we had ever seen. We snorkeled, seeing all kinds of colorful tropical fish and a black-tip shark. Exhausted from snorkeling and suffering from jet lag, we fell asleep about 5:30pm. Knowing that we were new arrivals, management was kind enough to call our room to... More

We had a water-front bungalow. It was quite spacious, with 3 single beds (pushed together to make a double) and door separating bathroom area. Food was ok (we had breakfast and dinner included) eggs for breakfast, bread, fruit, coffee, juice, pastries, granola, cereal, coffee and tea. Dinner was also good! The floor of our bungalow was very squeaky, (bungalow #2)... More

We Stayed here as part of our 6 week trip to FP for 5 nights, we had a beach front bungalow which was very nice, although not really a beach as such but good snorkelling and lots of fish, sharks and we saw dolphins pass by on our first night at the end of the pier in the lagoon, The... More

there were no overwater rooms, but the bungalows were all very nice, we didn't get water front, we were 1 row back, no regrets. the staff were great, they helped every which way, we didn't think to bring the power adapters and there were none to be sold, but the hotel vlt us use their computers for the USB plugs... Just a quick warning: the trip from the airport to the hotel is all of 1/4 mile, so the transfer fee of $18 seems a bit ridiculous, but that was all we found that didn't fit well. Once a Novotel, now the Maitai takes what started in Bora Bora ( 1 1/2 hours west via Air Tahiti) and carries through... More

from the moment we arrived, Alan, the receptionist, greeted us with his calm and cheerful persona. during our 5 night stay, he did everything in his power to make sure we were comfortable and well informed as to the activities, rates and options of things to do on the atoll. he himself is worth another star to the rating of... Went to 3 islands on the honeymoon and all were excellent but my heart is with Rangiroa. We stayed beachside and the accommodations were beautiful and perfect. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We only ate dinner once at the hotel and it was good. I am a picky eater and did go to the small store and restaurant... More
