Stayed here for 3 nights on a trip through French Polynesia for our 20th wedding anniversary. We principally came to dive (though my wife doesn't dive) as Rangiroa is world renowned as one of the best big fish (read Shark) sites in the world. Neither diving nor the resort disappoints! The resort is nice and the rooms spacious and private... More

I'd wanted to travel to Rangiroa to do the drift dives through the pass and came for the New Year with a university friend. Not being the "sauvage" types, we booked the Hotel Kia Ora. Since we'd done the OWB elsewhere, we choose the 2 bedroom/2 bath Executive Suite with pool. It was beautiful, tastefully decorated with high end fixtures.... More

The resort is beautiful and relaxing. Their staff is very friendly and food was delicious. We choose this place because they have a dive centre in the hotel. Here is my impression about the atmosphere there. Rangiroa atoll is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and I have the feeling that we are floating in our little overwater bungalow... More

We stayed for three nights in early November. We had a Deluxe Beach Bungalow and loved it. The room was modern and had plenty of space - it exceeded our expectations. Out the back was a private outdoor bath which was great for late nights gazing at the stars after watching the sun set out front. We also had our... More

Kia Ora Review Though we were staying at Kia Ora mostly because we wanted to stay at Kia Ora Sauvage (separate review) we found we really enjoyed our 3 nights at Kia Ora as well… I was afraid this resort would be too big and corporate for us, but we found it didn’t feel impersonal. The staff is welcoming and... More

This gorgeous property was the first stop on our honeymoon..I had been to French Polynesia before but not to Rangiroa..The property is beautiful and the rooms were fantastic..we had one with a private pool which was great for honeymooners. Food, service ...all excellent but I want to especially credit the staff which was consistently friendly and helpful (my husband was... More

My husband and I stayed at the Kia Ora for 5 nights after a week stay at the St. Regis Bora Bora. We heard that Rangiroa is a prime location for scuba divers so we took advantage that we were so close to experience the diving for ourselves. The hotel was recommended by Pacific For Less, travel agency which we... More

Rangiroa is about a one hour flight from Papeete; there are no ferries. We stayed at Kia Ora for 7 nights and were very sad when we had to leave. We had an opportunity to upgrade from a beachfront bungalow with a Jacuzzi to an over-the-water bungalow and jumped at the chance. We found the over-the-water bungalow very comfortable and... More

Kia Ora is beautiful! The resort has an awesome restaurant and offered a Polynesian show. This island offered a "real" Tahitian island experience. There are many fish right off your deck to snorkel around and see. Rangiroa is better known for its Scuba diving which we did not do. We did snorkel quite a bit and that was awesome. The... More

We have been in this fantastic resort for 5days of our honeymoon. The impression I got is that the bungalow in front of the see are better than the overwater in this case. The service is good but not as a five star hotel. The food also is good, but not the best in French Polinesia.
