We stayed for 3 nights and the location is beautiful it is a shame that the service does not match this. It appears this is a hotel where people come and go, so stay a few days and move on and as such the staff do not seem to care. It felt like the hotel were short staffed as you... More

The location of the bungalows is great, from the terrace you can swim directly to coral "patates". On the negative side, the interior of the bungalows is not as nice as other bungalows in Polynesia, while the price asked is among the highest. And this cannot only be justified by the location. Rangiroa is a great place to visit, but... More

This lovely Japanese owned boutique hotel spoiled us in every way. Right after landing we were picked up by the hotel. Our luggage was immediately taken care of. At the hotel we were greeted with juice and cold towels. It was early in the morning and our room wasn't ready yet. But they give you a transit room with air-con... More

We came to Rangiroa in search of amazing scuba diving and we found it! We highly recommend Y AKA Plungee for scuba diving (see separate review). We booked through Pacific for Less and they were amazingly helpful in setting up all of the details of our trip especially the inter-island transfers (we also stayed at the st regis in bora... More

Rangiroa ia a beautiful atoll with incredible water, and the Hotel Kia Ora is a lovely resort. The first time we stayed here was 24 years ago. Personally we liked the "more rustic" and casual atmosphere of years ago, but I will say they did a lovely job in upgrading this resort. Our room (a deluxe beachfront with a private... More

Nice hotel, good atmosphere and food In the resort you can find a dive company called 'topdive' (Good in Rangiroa, overrated in Bora Bora in my opinion) From the resort to 'Tiputa pass' (best dive site in the planet) it takes around 10 minutes, you cannot imagine how beautiful and wild is that place! trust me, I've been diving in... We visited Rangiroa for a week of scuba diving and stayed at Kia Ora Resort and Spa. We chose a villa with a pool rather than overwater or beachfront. The AC worked very well and we had no issues with mosquitoes in the room. The pool was private but had shutters that could be opened to give a view of... More

Located at the only sandy beach on Rangiroa and a short bicycle ride from Tiputa Pass, nearly everything was perfect about this hotel. The garden bungalows and private gardens are simply gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was very good included an ample variety of cuisines. The staff was the most solicitous I have encountered anywhere. I picked up an item in... More

I recently stayed at the Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa for 3 nights (followed by a 3 night stay at Le Sauvage). We booked a package from pacificislands.com which included air (LAX-PPT-RGI) and hotel accommodations. We booked separate airfare from JFK-LAX for a total cost of ~ $7K USD for 2 people. Arrival - RGI is a tiny airport... More

This is a magical place. Very quiet. Beautiful surroundings. The Spa is amazing, Jeannine gave me the best massage I have had and I get massages regularly. Dive shop on site, which is great. Amazing diving. We will be back. Open air bar with sharks swimming by. A few things could be done better, like having one ice maker for... More
