This hotel is situated in rural India which should give you the idea that wifi and TV may be scarce. A fellow traveller described it as "faded glory" and I think he was probably right. The place is charming but needs a bit of TLC- it has an air of neglect which in some ways adds to its charm. However,... More

Perhaps visiting here in a cold spell did not show this place in its best light. The rooms can be vast, which made ours bitterly cold - I went to sleep fully clothed! Getting to the hotel is fun as no motorised vehicles can negotiate the narrow lanes and so we arrived by bullock cart and then walked back out... More

We travelled trough a very narrow dirty road to get to this palace. Once inside we were in for a surprise. It was beautiful. The maintenance is great and the hosts are great. We had the most lovely lunch. The kesar gulab gamuns were yumm! We did not stay here but peeped into some of their rooms, they were fit... More

This place was well worth the stay. The room was large, no TV. The bathroom was interesting as one would expect in an old palace. The power went off during dinner but that just added to the places charm The bullock ride to the hotel was worth doing just for the experience. The staff and management were very welcoming. Worth... How do I describe how gorgeous this heritage Palace hotel is? I felt that I had stepped back in time and an Elephant would walk thru the front entrance at any time. Our hostess was a beautiful charming lady and all the staff were so polite and helpful. Our room, sorry, suite, was the most divine hotel experience I have... More

This rambling white washed building has been the home of the local Thakur rulers for 23 generations, who still run the hotel. It is located at the end of a bustling narrow traditional market street populated by cobblers, tailors, metal workers and green grocers. Nice gardens and large swimming pool. In the afternoon during a short drive into the countryside... More

Build by the Thakurs of Nimaj, it is one of the oldest running properties as a hotel, it makes you relive the medieval era. Guests are given a traditional Palace welcome. It is a must visit place in itinerary for people visiting Rajasthan. Great atmosphere and staff were very helpful and courteous bearing in mind this is a family house... More

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Jodphur. It's an old palace and has been converted into a hotel, whilst retaining the charm. The rooms are basic so don't expect 5 star. The beds are comfy and the rooms are big. There is no TV but there is free wi-fi in the restaurant. We had a late... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to Jodhpur. As we drove up to the hotel, the roads became narrower and narrower, to the point where our driver had to get out of the car and ask people to move carts and motorcycles so that we could get through. Once we reached the gate and drove... More

The palace is really nice. Stayed there for a single night and would love to do it again. The place was very well maintained and had the authentic Indian heritage. This place is for those who want to relax and have a nice time. If you are looking for some entertainment this isn't the place for you. Stayed in suit... More
