Stayed 2 nights at this rural hotel. Large bedroom and ensuite shower comfortable not for the traveller looking for luxury. Friendly staff though some had limited English.Arrived by bullock cart as a tradion for guests. Narrow busy streets lead to hotel gives an insight of the true India.Free WiFi a bonus.Did have problems with power cuts but who cares not... More

Forget about wifi, tv and all the perks of modern hotels. Nima Palace gives you a full immersion in rural India with the opportunity to stay in its beautifully decorated rooms and authentic surroundings. We spent 2 nights as part of our tour and my wife and I loved the atmosphere of the hotel and the village. Rooms may not... More

Loved this palace in this lovely small village, room was great standard & I really appreciated no TV but my husband wanted to watch the final of World Series cricket & ended up having a great afternoon with the staff watching cricket on the one TV!! Our mini bus of 12 negotiated the lanes & dropped us at the door... More

Nimaj some 200 Km from Jaipur (four and a half hours) and 110 Km from Jodhpur (two hours) and is a village (well a dozen spread out) of 20,000 people. This is the Maharajah's residence where he, his wife and son still live. They are charming people and nothing was too much trouble for them or their staff well led... More

This hotel is situated in rural India which should give you the idea that wifi and TV may be scarce. A fellow traveller described it as "faded glory" and I think he was probably right. The place is charming but needs a bit of TLC- it has an air of neglect which in some ways adds to its charm. However,... More

Perhaps visiting here in a cold spell did not show this place in its best light. The rooms can be vast, which made ours bitterly cold - I went to sleep fully clothed! Getting to the hotel is fun as no motorised vehicles can negotiate the narrow lanes and so we arrived by bullock cart and then walked back out... More

We travelled trough a very narrow dirty road to get to this palace. Once inside we were in for a surprise. It was beautiful. The maintenance is great and the hosts are great. We had the most lovely lunch. The kesar gulab gamuns were yumm! We did not stay here but peeped into some of their rooms, they were fit... More

This place was well worth the stay. The room was large, no TV. The bathroom was interesting as one would expect in an old palace. The power went off during dinner but that just added to the places charm The bullock ride to the hotel was worth doing just for the experience. The staff and management were very welcoming. Worth... How do I describe how gorgeous this heritage Palace hotel is? I felt that I had stepped back in time and an Elephant would walk thru the front entrance at any time. Our hostess was a beautiful charming lady and all the staff were so polite and helpful. Our room, sorry, suite, was the most divine hotel experience I have... More

This rambling white washed building has been the home of the local Thakur rulers for 23 generations, who still run the hotel. It is located at the end of a bustling narrow traditional market street populated by cobblers, tailors, metal workers and green grocers. Nice gardens and large swimming pool. In the afternoon during a short drive into the countryside... More
