Beautiful location, right by the river.. a very different wildlife experience.. lovely location is good enough to just sit around the resort the whole day irrespective of the luck during the game runs.. would certainly recommend.. though, must add, not sure how it compares with other resorts at Kabini as did not visit any of them..

The sight of luxurious African style tents in front of a lake with the forest as the backdrop got our adrenaline flowing and we were not disappointed. If the rustic tented accommodation, with thatched rooftops, and large inbuilt toilets and wooden walkways all around seems most relaxing, with the sounds of the forest every few minutes in the otherwise eerie quiet,... Everyone wants to see a big cat. Even if you claim to be a true nature lover who appreciates every plant and creatures you see, the fact is that deep down you’re always hoping to see a tiger. Every beautiful and endearing creature you come across while at safari, every mysterious sound you hear and aroma you smell, ultimately results... More

Having been to The Bison a couple of times, it is safe to say that it is perhaps one of the only resorts in Nagarhole that truly caters to the wild at heart. Situated exceptionally close to the backwaters of the Kabini river, the luxury tents overlook a panoramic view of both, the thicket of the Nagarhole forest as well... More

This is my fourth time back and my second review about this wonderful place. My last few visits yielded many leopards but never a tiger. I was told by the camp naturalists; shaaz and mithun that seeing the elusive big cat in july was always going to be difficult but things were different this monsoon. A big bold male tiger... More

Nature vacations in jungle resorts are a wonderful way to experience wildlife up close while at the same time enjoying the stay so close to nature. The Bison undoubtedly has been one great experience for me. Having been to various nature parks and lived across some great properties, this one was special. Right from the location to the meadows that... More

If you want to spot big cats, this is the place to stay. The owners of the resort are themselves wildlife photographers and avid big cat trackers. Over the duration of our stay, we went on 2 safaris and on both occasions, we spotted tigers only cause the resort sent their own people to track the big cats. The location... More

We were travelling to Coorg and had planned a 2 day excursion to Kabini before finally returning to our home base. We planned a trip to The Bison after doing some amount of research and comparison across portals. Since i could not find any deals for the property on any of the travel portals, I called their office in Bangalore... More

An excellent resort at a fantastic location, just across the river is the Nagarhole forest, from the resort one can sight forest animals on the far bank. The owner Shaaz is a born naturalist and with him tracking, there is a high probability of sighting the big cats. Across 3 safaris, we spotted tigers twice, a leopard, tuskers, wild dogs etc.

Serene and tranquil through the day yet exciting and stimulating at night; the Bison, a boutique tented camp, the first of its kind in India, offers luxury at the very of adventure. "The Bison" is situated at the confluence of the Bandipur and Nagarhole National Parks, on the shores of the exotic Kabini River in Karnataka (west of Mysore), which offers you the perfect wildlife adventure. It is the only resort in the area which directly overlooks the national park. Elephants and other wildlife are regularly spotted from the resort. The decor and ambiance of the camp recreates the adventurous decadence of a bygone era.
