Reached there on 15th Aug 2014 night, and were greeted by huge spiders in the room no. 13 which was allotted to us. Very dirty & damp bed sheets, dim lights & shoddy manager, who showed us rooms which were even further and spooky. Ramsay brothers would have loved this place <pun>.

Ideal cottage stay. Rooms are ok but need to be more clean. Heater are in all rooms They can also provide for a bonfire. Area outside the cottages is ideal for any outdoor activities. Food is ok. Also go to a place called peera near the dam for excellent rajma chawal.

There is only one word to describe the place - unhygienic. The rooms are filthy and smelly, have bugs all over the place. The beds were filthy the sheets so dirty and greasy that we used sticks to remove them before using our own. Refused to touch it with my hands as didn't want to catch something. Could have been... Small menu card .. Run by govt of Jammu and Kashmir ... Very reasonably priced .. Whatever ordered was fresh and good to taste buds... Dishes like biryani and paneer kofta were customizable as per requirements. Total bill for 4 ppl was around 400. Recommended for budget stay and eat out.

No doubt, the govt owned hotels have the best scenic view but at the same time these hotels are not maintained at all. All are stay we were fighting with huge spiders in the guest house. The attached kitchen was an advantage and we fully utilized the kitchen but we were struggling with bad lighting in the kitchen. For 4500/-... More

This property was very badly managed. No attendant.. no facilities.. Just outside the huts , there are vendors for panipuri, apple vendors, photgraphers.. no privacy at all. to top it all, there is no lighting in the night. No food is available in the huts in case you dont want to cook. While the huts cost a cool Rs 5000/- but the... More

I had been to Patnitop about 17 years ago and enjoyed the ambience. Went there again on 14 July 2014 with my wife and two friends. No separate parking available for visitors staying in the cabins. Very crowded junction at which to park. Check in took 15 minutes as the person responsible was missing. When he came he took us... More

The tourist bungalows which are supposed to be your gateway to this beautiful hill top in Jammu & Kashmir are a complete disappointment. The corruption is obvious, someone needs to check how much in funds are being sent from the Tourism Ministry towards maintenance because obviously nothing is being done here. Staff is helpful but only so much that they... More

Few points would like to mention about my stay: 1) Patnitop has around 10 hotels on the Naag temple road, however I chose jktdc because of the govt property... Booked d 1000 rs rooms...reached hotel by 8pm and check-in was smooth...however d checked in rooms were in a very bad condition and almost looked like 20 to 30 years old... More

Had a wonderful stay here in 1988. 2014 was quite disappointing. Padora Delux huts. Parking on roadside. One double bed had a large mouse hiding under the covers. Maintenance poor. Noisy tourist crowds during day litter the forest. Helpful staff & lots of hot water in bath saved the day. Food is brought in hot cases from hotels outside. Had... More
