A quite standard middle-class hotel, large rooms, clean, perhaps slightly worn - but this is easily weighed up by the wonderful staff. A short walk from the beach. For the price paid a superb value for money option. More homely and lowkey then the neighbouring touristy resorts.

budget option that looks like an upper-end hotel...practically on the beach as it's only a minute walk...they'll let you use the pool at the hotel across the street...rooms are spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable...no reason to get one of the expensive places in Khao Lak

Beginning of November 2011 the plain Khao Lak village was bliss due to lack of tourist crowds. Some worthwhile excursions are offered. Prices in Khao Lak are more reasonable and vendors slightly less aggressiv in promoting their goods and services than in other Thai resorts.
