Spent a weekend here with my wife to enjoy their spa. Although the spa menu is nice, we didn't quite feel good value for money. The hotel is nice, but you pay a lot for the location, which is perfect. Rooms are OK and clean, but not 4 star. Excellent SPA facilities. Fantastic breakfast. Very nice reception staff. The only issue is the attitude of the bar/restaurant staff, which is among the worst I ever have experienced.

The location in a quiet part of Smögen near access to swimming and walks is perfect. It still takes only 10min max to walk down to the harbour. The rooms are nice and clean. We stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Smogen boardwalk. Smogen was an interesting stop on the Bohuslan coast and the Havsbad a great place to stay.

I loved my time at Smogens Havsbad during mid-summer. The hotel was pared down Swedish design without feeling IKEA. I single dormer room at the top of the building and loved looking out the windows to the sea and the barely setting sun. If the journey from London wasn't so long, I would return again and again.
