We stayed in the old international Qini Baghdad Hotel as part of an Intrepid Tour in May. There is a newer building across the way. Upon entering the reception area we felt like we were in an abandoned building. Few lights. Dirty. Furniture stacked around the place. Our room was probably grand in its day but is very run down.... We stayed in the old part of this hotel as part of an Intrepid tour this May. Make sure you avoid it at all cost. Remember this is the older section, not the newer five star section that is part of the same premises. It took three rooms before we found one where all the features were functioning ie. toilet,... The 5 star hotel at Qinibagh (Qiniwak) is a great place to stay. There is a cheaper option which I had heard about but since we had young children we didn't want to stay there. The 5 star option is great. Not a 5 star hotel by Western standards but for China (especially that far out west) this is a... More

stayed in the newly renovated hotel, can see that the management try to impress, but still falls short. No 1 problem, no internet. No Wifi at all, and the wired connection fails too. Breakfast is messy and uninviting. Good only if you plan to be out whole day, and use the room only for sleeping. If you need to do... More

The Qini Bagh Hotel has two different buildings: an old 3 star Hotel and a new 5 star Hotel. We stayed 6 nights in the 5 star Hotel and loved it. Of course it is not as a 5 star Hotel in Switzerland but for China it is very good. The two huge beds are very confortable. The room (inkl.... More

We chose this hotel for the price and location, thinking that since we're fairly accustomed to dodgy Chinese hotels, it couldn't possibly be *that* bad. Except it was. We stayed in the older part of the hotel. The rooms had been given a cursory renovation but there were still staples sticking up from the carpet tacking (I punctured my foot... More

We almost stayed here as the Old Town hostel we had booked at the last minute didn't have ensuite bathrooms for us (?). They highly recommended Qini Bagh which apart from having nice staff has little to offer as a hotel! There are two hotels, one old and ramshackled, wall paper casually ripping off it's walls, stained carpets and sheets... More

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The first night, the toilet didn't flush in our room, so we changed rooms the next day. In the new room, the a/c didn't work. We called for maintenance - 4 times - but no one ever showed up. The front desk kept saying "5 minutes" but it never happened. So we switched... More

This hotel had to be one the vilest hotels I have ever slept in. FILTHY FILTHY FILTHY!! It is a relic that should be torn down .Beds were ROCK HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May as well have been camping! Carpet was the filthiest hotels ever .My bet is that most prisons are cleaner. The front desk doesn’t speak English and the breakfast food... More

We stayed at the Qinibagh Hotel for three nights in June. The hotel reception is decent enough looking, but the old building at the back is decrepit. The rooms were similar - old, dirty and dusty, the towels were yellowed with age. The air con was extremely weak and the 'double' bed on the first night was tiny, maybe 20cm... More
