This is not a bad choice for a Chinese three-star. The rooms are clean even if the expense "facility maintenance" does not appear on the operating statement. These type of hotels age very rapidly. It appears this hotel does a burgeoning business with business folks from the neighboring countries. And this should be good news for the budget traveler for... More

I cant believe it, the Western whining and Western-centrism ! (I am French-German) I don’t understand why you travel to Central asia with such a mind breakfast was unlimited, plentiful, always 3 cooked dishes (as tasty as the restaurant downstairs which is always full to the tilt with locals – too bad you didnt try it), and 4 pickled salads,... Stayed here for 1 night enroute to the KKH. Booked this by email with the hotel and got a confirmation but apparently the person that responded to my booking doesn't exist so when I got there there was plenty of confusion , but was resolved by simply making a fresh booking on the spot. Room is dusty and furniture is... More

We spent 9 nights at this hotel. When we first got to Kashgar, we stayed at the hotel right next door – the Qinbagh (also called the Qiniwek and Chinbagh). After having one problem after another, we ended up at the Eden. For 8 yuan more per night than what we had been paying, we got a much nicer room... More

I made my trip to Kashgar about a year ago following a slew of good reviews that propelled the hotel to #1 on trip advisor, thus eschewing more established choices like the Chini Bagh. The hotel is Uyghur run, and the architecture is pleasant. There is a restaurant with a good mix of Uyghur, Han and an attempt at decent... More

This is not a review of the hotel/room itself but just the service, as we couldn't even book a room because the service was so poor. We went here after two awful nights at the Qinibagh (see my last review) as we knew the price was only a bit more. We stood there with our backpacks on for about 3-4... More

If you can, get a room not facing the road, will help with noise. Price was fine, compared to comparable options. Location is awesome, best we saw of the other hotels. Easy walk to the Mosque, great street life. Only problem was that the bathroom in both rooms we stayed in (we did a trip to Karakul Lake in the... More

Just recently come back from a trip to western Xinjiang with a friend, whilst we were Kashgar, we stayed 3 nights in Hotel Eden. We checked out a few places before settling on this one, and paid 188-198 RMB per night, which I though was the best value for the size of room, atmosphere and the location after checking out... Place is decent. I expect much worse when you are in Central Asia or the outskirts of Western China. There is a restaurant next door that was pretty good. Also, very close to the old town. The manager was very nice to us while we were there.

I stayed there for 2 nights in September 2011, during a package tour. This is an Uighur hotel, close to what is left of the old town of Kashgar. The location is very good. They also have a restaurant and cafe, where we had coffee a number of timesbut did not try the food. This was rather nice with a... More
