We were a little disappointed when we fist arrived to find our private room with en suite was in the building next door rather than the characterful main building shown in most photos, but it actually turned out to be better as it was quieter. The room itself was OK but had a bit of an odd layout, the ensuite... More

We stayed here for two separate nights in private rooms. Pros are good location, cheap, easy to find and friendly staff. Cons are wifi connectivity and speed issues, showers and toilets are combined and there aren't many of them, and there can be long waits for food (due to Ramadan a number of guests ordered lunch from the hostel). Better... More

let me paint a picture for you, a dark grim and sinister one at that.... The main lobby seems ok. I am hot and tired from the 30 hour bus from hell all i want is a room. Check in, no understandable English spoken....dam, The staff direct me up a stair case that will most likely cause a terrible catastrohy... More

Enjoyed my few days here. Stayed in a comfortable private room with bathroom attached. They served very nice dinner with affordable price. A cozy courtyard to relax and meet fellow travellers. The staffs were helpful. Centrally located and easy access to public transportation.

The manager could speak English and was extremely helpful. The evening meal was healthy tasty and low price breakfast great. We had hot water showers in our double room in the new part The courtyard amazing place to sit eat and chat. my highlight was the pet sheep penned up in courtyard fondly fed and let out for a wander... This was one of our favourite hostels in china. Our double room was comfortable with good aircon. We stayed in the newer building a few doors down from the reception area. It was lovely, bright, clean and quiet. The shared space is great. A good place to meet other travellers and a great atmosphere to sit around, have a drink,... More

Absolutely loved my time at this hostel, really felt like home! I stayed in a private room, which was much better quality than expected! Practically brand new... Pros: - Location: heart of old town, walking distance to main sights, markets and old town alleys - The vibe: really relaxed, super-chilled, great for socialising and solo travellers - Staff: super friendly,... Stayed here for a week during a trip around the Kaklamakan desert. Loved the outside seating where I could drink tea in the mornings. Courtyard facilitates social networking amongst travelers, and makes for a helpful environment for solo travelers. Great location surrounded by plenty of things to do and places to eat.

Enjoyed my few days here. Depending on demand, they have different rooms available, with attached bathroom, some with amazingly kitch decoration. A relaxed courtyard, with travellers heading to interesting places. Run by friendly & helpful guys. & the plus of the nearby markets in the older part of town.

I stayed at Kashgar Old City Hostel for around 5 nights and would go back there any day. The staff are very welcoming and could not be more helpful. They speak English and are happy to provide any local information and can arrange very well priced trips to various places outside Kashi e.g. Tashkurgan. I stayed in a single room... More
