This was one of our favourite hostels in china. Our double room was comfortable with good aircon. We stayed in the newer building a few doors down from the reception area. It was lovely, bright, clean and quiet. The shared space is great. A good place to meet other travellers and a great atmosphere to sit around, have a drink,... More

Absolutely loved my time at this hostel, really felt like home! I stayed in a private room, which was much better quality than expected! Practically brand new... Pros: - Location: heart of old town, walking distance to main sights, markets and old town alleys - The vibe: really relaxed, super-chilled, great for socialising and solo travellers - Staff: super friendly,... Stayed here for a week during a trip around the Kaklamakan desert. Loved the outside seating where I could drink tea in the mornings. Courtyard facilitates social networking amongst travelers, and makes for a helpful environment for solo travelers. Great location surrounded by plenty of things to do and places to eat.

Enjoyed my few days here. Depending on demand, they have different rooms available, with attached bathroom, some with amazingly kitch decoration. A relaxed courtyard, with travellers heading to interesting places. Run by friendly & helpful guys. & the plus of the nearby markets in the older part of town.

I stayed at Kashgar Old City Hostel for around 5 nights and would go back there any day. The staff are very welcoming and could not be more helpful. They speak English and are happy to provide any local information and can arrange very well priced trips to various places outside Kashi e.g. Tashkurgan. I stayed in a single room... More

This place was fantastic. Good rooms, friendly and helpful staff, close walk to everything in town and easy access to buses and taxis for the animal markets on the Sundays. Nice courtyard to catch up with everyone in the mornings and evenings.

We stayed in this hostel for 3 nights during a Xinjiang trip in October 2013. It has a lot of character and is in a great location. My husband and I (late 20s & experienced backpackers) stayed in one of the private rooms. It was a little dusty and the bed was very hard, but the view overlooking the street... More

We stayed for 4 nights during the festival of Eid in October 2013. We paid roughly $22 USD for a twin room which was ensuite and very comfortable. We had a room on the second floor overlooking the street which was great. Shower was just warm enough and there was a western toilet. Our experience was that you had to... More

This old city hostel was a great last minute find. We originally wanted to stay at a higher rated hostel in the area but by feedback from travellers we were luckily too late. Located in the ever-changing old city this hostel is in a great position. The rooftop is a great place to chill after a long day of sightseeing.... More

They got the world's hardest beds, so if you care about that, choose another place. The staff was helpful, the breakfast was tasty (they make great friend eggs), atmosphere is nice. The rooms are very small, and the shower water leaked into the room, also caused the whole thing to be very slippery. The wifi in the room was really... More
