Location. Location. Location. (Plus A/C and hot shower!) If you are in the bewildering process of trying to find a reasonable hotel in this city, this is a good one to choose. It is very centrally located near the Mao statue on the plaza, next to the central park, and within close walking distance of the old town area. They... More

I've stayed here twice on business in the last couple of years and would say it's probably still the mot reliable mid-range option in Kashgar. When travelling anywhere in north-west China you have to adjust your expectations - most hotels will be a long way below the standards you might be able to expect in similar-sized cities along China's more... The rooms are hot and a/c totally inadequate. Opened windows to get air but one was stuck shut. Had to leave room door open for ventilation. BreakfAst was a joke. Mostly cold and unappealing Chinese food and MY husband eats anything All of the limited western foods;eggs, toast or pastries, cereal and even coffee were In short supply. We really... More

It is your typical Chinese chain hotel. Beds are rock hard, rooms are on the dirty side, but it seems to be the norm in remote areas in China. So there was no surprises there. As others have mentioned, rugs are filthy, furniture is kind of banged out, but the beds are clean and so is the bathroom. It seemed... More

The hotel is, as others have noted, in a great location and this is its main plus. All the main sights of the old town are within easy walking distance, and it over looks the main square with its huge statue of Mao. On the negative side, this means that it could be quieter. The main minus of the hotel... More

The hotel is very central, close to supermarket and shopping street. Hotel had a very large reception area with a coffee shop. The reception staff spoke enough English for us to communicate. We had a large clean room and bathroom. Breakfast had some western food, had only one jug of juice for the whole place. The staff were not helpful... More

This hotel has seen better days but it's good enough for travelers looking for a decent place to sleep at night, fairly clean and with a simple western style breakfast. Reception staff speaks a little English, enough for basic communication.

My wife and I spent two days here on a Wendy Wu 'Silk Road Explorer' tour. The location is very convenient, almost next to a large square with a statue of Chairman Mao, with a supermarket nit far away. The lobby is quite plush and has a coffee shop with nice cakes and a gift shop, and the free wifi... More

The hotel makes its living on tour groups with mostly European guests trolling the Silk Route. Easy money and no hassles for the hotel as the tour guides take care of everything, from communication to herding their guests into their rooms and buses. Individual travelers please don't bother. Although located at a great spot at walking distance from the old... More

We stayed here two nights. One night before staying in a yurt in Karakuli Lake and then one night afterwards. It was a solid hotel that was clean and comfortable. We weren't expecting too much but it was in a great prime location to walk around and get food (and a supermarket was nearby to stock up on waters and... More
