This is an odd hotel where they don't seem to want to turn on the hallway lights. The rooms smell like smoke. The beds are like rocks. The shower does not have complete door making the bathroom quite wet when using. Breakfast was ok but Chinese

Lived and travelled around Chine, so I know what to expect. To make it short: 1. Advertised Continental breakfast, there was only Chinese breakfast 2. The bedroom was quite dirty. 3. The Business Center was closed during open hours, only had one computer and all full of dust. it was possible to write your name on the furniture. 4. We... More

Again, I preface this review of a Chinese hotel by saying I compare it to other Chinese hotels not to Western hotels of the same ratings. Please check my other reviews for comparison. Kashgar does not have many good tourist hotels (I mean by that not youth hostels or Chinese travelers hotels). This is at the higher range at 500Yuans... More

I would never wish this hotel on my worst enemy. The towels and bedding was grey and had seen better years. This is suppose to be a 4 star hotel, on a good day it was a 2 star and its fully booked because the travel agents tell you that its the best in town. Not sure if I can... More

We stayed in this hotel 5 nights in June. Pros: Good sized rooms, good air-con, clean. Bed linen changed daily unless you advise otherwise. The doorman has a great hat! Neutral: very hard beds, (others may see this as a negative, but we don’t like them too soft) Carpets starting to look a little tired. Ok breakfast with ok choice,... More

The hotel located opposite of the old town wall and next to the hospital, 15 mins walk to Id Kah mosque via local market street. The hotel quiet nice, the breakfast got quiet plenty of selections. I'm satisfied.

Apart from the fact that the kitchen staff were sent home on our first evening so there wasn't any food to be had, the hotel was good. The beds were VERY hard and I got a sore hip one night. However I thought I'd lost my purse and staff were so good helping me to find it. They even watched... More

The rooms are nice enough and clean. Little fridge, water boiling pot in the room. Fresh fruits upon arrival and turn down service if you like. The front desk staff didn't speak English but the young woman in the gift shop does. There was also a man who spoke English, maybe a manager. The breakfast buffet was included and very... More

The Barony is a well located, clean hotel which provides easy access to the old town portion of Kashgar. It is a Chinese hotel and you need to leave some of your western expectations behind. The beds are hard, the staff doesn't speak English and there wasn't any internet access. Still, it is probably the best place to stay in... More

At 380 rmb per night for a twin room including 2 breakfasts (chinese but also on the spot omelettes) this is value for money. Only thing is the restaurant is not offering more then 3 vegetable options so after one meal a vegetarian needs to look for an other restaurant. Which is no problem, try the Uirgur kitchen.
