This was one of our favourite hotels during our SNA tour. Although we arrived late (7pm) and left early (7am), I was so impressed by the grandeur of it. It seems like a very luxurious very Chinese hotel, yet with western beds (bonus). The entrance was grand, the gardens at the back immaculate (great setting for weddings they promote), the... More

This hotel is suprisingly maintained at high standard, from the room, facilities, breakfast, staffs services and etc. The hotel is huge, and the staffs are friendly. Not too sure about the location as we are following tour. Overall, this is an impressive hotel. The staffs even line up to wave goodbye to each and every tour bus, until the tour bus... More

From the moment you enter the hotel you realise that no expense has been spared. The hotel displayed magnificent and very expensive jade sculptures, and the huge carved wooden arm chairs were fun for a photo opportunity. The rooms were very well appointed and the staff were very friendly. Our room overlooked a magnificent traditional Chinese garden with water fall... More

We only stayed in this hotel 1 night after a huge day of touring so were exhausted. The room for 3 of us was huge compared to most other hotels in China and impeccably clean. There was a big language barrier with staff but they couldn't do enough for you and were very eager to try communicate. We had a... More

After a day of traveling from Beijing; a long bus ride we visited the Shaolin Buddist Temple at Song Shan. Beautiful gardens abound on this vast monastery with the interesting pagoda like shrines to past masters. Then we went to a Kung Fu school and had a fab presentation by the students. They say there are over 30,000 students at... More

Stayed at the Zhengzhou Cheered Hotel the 07 Sept. 2014. Very beautiful hotel, very clean, courteous staff, good food. Our room was clean, large & well furnished. There was only a shower. No bathtub. The bed is very hard which is in keeping with Chinese medical tradition. It is suppose to eliminate back problems. Smoking is allowed in the rooms.... More

Stayed at Cheered Hotel as part of our SNA tour. The whole experience was very special even though it was only one night. Room was very clean with a wonderful view of a local parkland. Staff were excellent. We needed a charger for our AU mobile phone and staff were very helpful despite the language barrier. We only knew a... More

This was the third of ten hotels on our tour. Lobby very grand, nicely appointed. Did not eat in this hotel. Older rooms with solid wood and marble décor. No wired connection in room, Wi-Fi in lobby. Beds were comfortable even with bean-bag style pillow. A beautiful Zen Garden courtyard. No amenities within 15-minutes walk, no access offered to minibar,... More

Lobby impressive and staff anxious to please but... rooms dark, cold and not overly clean. Wifi in lobby only and bar had almost no stock so not a pleasant way to pass much time. Breakfast very limited. Location grim. Okay for one overnight at most. Not terrible but least favourite hotel of our month-long trip to China
