Stayed here from 24th to 31st Jan 2010, got a great deal on a Thomson package booking only 4 days before departure. We paid the extra for a room upgrade to have a south facing room with a balcony, these rooms are apparently a bit bigger than standard but I didn't see the standard to compare. The hotel was great,... More

Hi Just in response to some views of location from slopes. Although every room is allocated a ski locker - the hotel does have agreements with certain ski shops that also offer a discount to hotel clients and all clients can also leave their skis & boots overnight - all very close to the slopes. However if reserving via a... More

We were told this was a nice hotel very well run by an English lady good food good location in a fantastic resort. The resort IS fantastic..probably the best ski area we have ever been to and nobody seems to know about it...even better!! The location is good..even better as you can leave your skis etc in the shop near... More

In response to your avis - I beleive you were two couples who booked via Crystal ski with some friends who also asked me directly via the hotel for a private transfer from the airport which was carried out. Your friends used a different ski shop to yourselves and we also organised, via Emma, your trip to Sestriere and to... More

Booked as last minute package ski holday for family of 4 (2 boys in early 20's plus parents) so significant discount on full price. Chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews. Once again these provided sound advice. Whilst the rooms themselves are a little tired we thought the level of comfort and facilites live up to the 3 star... More

New Year Ski Holiday 2010 Hotel rooms – Basic but clean. We had problems with a leaking toilet and we heard another guest had issues with their shower but apart from that all seems ok. Bathroom has a (weak) hair dryer, sink, toilet, bath with a shower in it and there is also a safe in the room. Main room... More

We went for a week and really enjoyed ourselves, we have been in the winter months and the summer and both are enjoyable depended on what you want to do. The hotel is situated in a good position close to shops and ski lifts, it has a good swimming pool which is heated and covered in the winter months. Food... More

We stayed at the Hotel Plein Sud in March... and although it is clearly a 3 star ... at 200euro's a night I expected a bit more. To say the rooms were basic would be an under statement... the plainest of plain... pebble dashed walls and ceilings.. very dated... tiny bathroom.. with a bath that had been re-enamelled, but had... The hotel is well located near the lifts in Chantemerle all be it across the main road that divides the village (which you couldnt hear from the hotel and wasnt that busy). Rooms are basic and clean although could do with a bit of an update - TVs and safes old and the satalite TV that they promote didn't exist.... More

The Hotel Plein Sud is perfect for some of the best ski action in the world. The hotel is ideally placed. Only a few minutes walk from the slopes and has a beautiful view of the slope. Waking up next to that every morning is magical. The friendly warming atmosphere is just right after a day on the piste. The... More
