We spent 2 nights at the lovely Bukela. We stayed at the closest lodge and were rewarded by sighting a family of warthogs by the watering hole right as we stepped into our room. We felt very relaxed at the main lodge during our resting times in between drives and felt the staff were very attentive. The highlight of our... More

We spent three days at Bukela in August 2014. This was our first African Safari and it lived up to our hopes and expectations in every possible way. The accommodation was fantastic - beautifully appointed cottages which blend in with the scenery perfectly. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was fantastic (top notch breakfasts... More

We are a family of four (two older teenagers) who stayed here for three nights in August. The lodge is luxurious, and Simon and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. My husband and I stayed in Room1 near the waterhole, which was fantastic to look at the bird life, monkeys and warthogs from the patio. The... More

We recently spent two nights at Bukela Lodge at the end of July. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Simon, Wella1 and the rest of the team, who were so friendly. Our accommodation was truly luxurious, with a fireplace, underfloor heating and a lovely spa bath in our suite. Our room overlooked a water hole from... More

Just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary with a night at Bukela lodge! What a fantastic trip! Simon and his team went out of their way to make our stay very special! Lukanyo our ranger went that extra mile to try and find the cheetah for us - and because we didn't find him we will definitely have to make a... More

Excellent safari lodge - ambiance and food absolutely superb and served by friendly and attentive staff. Our ranger Chris spared no effort in making our animal viewing memorable. He showed great knowledge of the park and it's animals and we felt very comfortable in his care. No hesitation in recommending BUKELA.

Only 4 lodges of the highest quality. Excellent food prepared by local villagers. A special mention to Chris who was an expert Guide/Ranger - very skilled in locating things for us to see on the Drives and a varied and always interesting commentary. We've been to Leeuwenbosch on the same Amakhala reserve which was fabulous too - Bukela was just... More
