We have spent three unforgettable days in Bush Lodge in Amakhala Game Reserve. Every moment was an experience. The room was very spacious and luxurious. The most interesting feature for me was the outdoor shower. Taking a shower at night under the stars was priceless. The plunge pool at the deck was also very pleasant, where you can sip your... More

My wife and I spent our 22nd wedding anniversary at the Amakhala Bush Lodge owned by Rod & Tracy Weeks. The weather was lousy but the great hospitality more than made up for that. We own our own lodges and have a good idea what it takes to make it all run smoothly. They do a great job.

During the trip we had the pleasure of staying at BUSH LODGE on the Amakhala Game reserve. I stayed in room 5 which was located just to the left of the main lodge. This room is ideal for Honeymooners or couples wanting a little extra privacy. The rooms were very spacious and luxurious. The rooms are tented with lovely wooden... More

My husband and I stayed at Bush Lodge for two wondrous days in September. Though the weather was cold and rainy, we enjoyed every minute of our adventure. James, our skilled and enthusiastic ranger, provided hot water bottles and rain gear to keep us warm during our game drive, during which we saw a lioness, rhinos, cheetah, kudo and so... More

My husband and I stayed here in March. The whole experience was brilliant. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were amazing, we loved sitting on our decking during the day, looking out over the watering hole to spot the zebra and warthogs running around. Tim was our ranger, who was fantastic - really... More

This is a late report from 02-05.May, we were a group of 7 germans in the amakhala bush lodge. Amakhala was an amazing experience for us! Once you arrived at the reception you feel comfortable from the very first second on, everybody is very polite and willing to help to get your stay relaxed and as good as possible. When... More

At first I wasn't looking forward to this part of my holiday as much as the rest but it definitely changed when I got there! As soon as you arrive you are welcomed very warmly by the staff and taken very good care of. I very much enjoyed the entire trip especially going out on safari, our ranger Tim was... More

My husband and I stayed at Bush Lodge on our last trip to Amakhala (we've been 3 times) for 2 of our 4 nights. We had a fantastic time. We were upgraded from our original booking to Bush Lodge and treated exceptionally well throughout our stay. Our guide, Tim, was great. We had an amazing set of game drives and... More

The food badly let this place down. The safari itself was very enjoyable. Our guide was excellent and we saw animals on every trip including the Lions. How ever that was the least I would expect from such an expensive trip. The food was terrible from start to finish. We were hungry the whole time. We arrived to deep fried... More
