This is a late report from 02-05.May, we were a group of 7 germans in the amakhala bush lodge. Amakhala was an amazing experience for us! Once you arrived at the reception you feel comfortable from the very first second on, everybody is very polite and willing to help to get your stay relaxed and as good as possible. When... More

At first I wasn't looking forward to this part of my holiday as much as the rest but it definitely changed when I got there! As soon as you arrive you are welcomed very warmly by the staff and taken very good care of. I very much enjoyed the entire trip especially going out on safari, our ranger Tim was... More

My husband and I stayed at Bush Lodge on our last trip to Amakhala (we've been 3 times) for 2 of our 4 nights. We had a fantastic time. We were upgraded from our original booking to Bush Lodge and treated exceptionally well throughout our stay. Our guide, Tim, was great. We had an amazing set of game drives and... More

The food badly let this place down. The safari itself was very enjoyable. Our guide was excellent and we saw animals on every trip including the Lions. How ever that was the least I would expect from such an expensive trip. The food was terrible from start to finish. We were hungry the whole time. We arrived to deep fried... More

Very well looked after from arrival to departure. Welcome drinks at reception and again at arrival at Bush Lodge. Absolutely fabulous accommodation with pre-heated bath water and soap sudds after a long Game Drive. Drinks with face cloth on arrival after each game drive. Lovely patio and Jacuzzi in front of Chalet. Food was acceptable but not excellent and it... More

IZZY Such a smooth operation! The location was ideal for a peaceful get together with some wildlife, any problems that we had were swiftly attended to, no one seemed fazed by anything, it was amazing. The owners and all the staff were so welcoming and friendly, they made you feel like you had been staying for months, instead of a... More

Absolutely outstanding. Tim our guide helped make our trip to South Africa everything it could be. Stacey, Bowden and Nadia only added to it. Lovely spot, fantastic accommodation and food. First class service. Our only complaint was we had to leave. Thanks to you all we had a dream holiday. Oh and I nearly forgot, lion's, elephant's, giraffe, cheetah, rhino... More

Your adventure into the world of Amakhala starts with being welcomed at the gate and taken into the reserve by one of the guides. The welcome speaks of African hospitality at it's best, attention to every little detail is provided. The tented camp is tastefully decorated and has all the luxuries you can expect in the city right in the... More

Great at the entrance of the game reserve by one of the guides and taken into the reception area, to sign indemnity forms, all part of the safari experience. The guide then packed our suitcases into his land rover to take us to our tented room. We couldn't believe the first few minutes of our drive we saw zebra, giraffe... More

Best way to spend 2 nights away from work in the bush! The owners - Tracy & Rod - are wonderful hosts and you almost feel like you are invited in their home. It is rustic, warm and the little touches make your stay ultra special. Andrew was a great ranger with a very interesting life. Great getaway to wildlife... More
