Was looking forward to staying here and wasn't disappointed. Was in Room 1 on frist floor. Had bit of road noise early in morning as main road runs past. Room was spacious and well laid out given age of property (17th century). Has free wifi and comfy bed. Ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent as other reviews have highlighted. Good parking... The hotel is located centrally in Chipping Sodbury with onsite parking.A warm welcome is given and one is immediately struck by the tranquil and peaceful ambience. Our room was excellent with comfy beds and provisions within the room. There are restaurants very closeby .There was a good choice for breakfast.A super place to stay

My husband and I and a couple of our friends arrived early yesterday morning (11 July 2015) at this beautiful grade II listed building. We booked it because it was a short drive (20mins or so) to where we were going to see Spandau Ballet at Westonbirt Arboretum later that evening. On arrival we were greeted warmly and allocated our... More

Being sent away on business to a small place like Chipping Sodbury is fairly unusual, admittedly. I was told I'd be staying in a 'lovely B&B on the high street', to which I simply agreed and thought nothing else of it. Making the trip here was easy enough, although the sat nav was just as confused about the location of... More

We were looking forward to experiencing this place just outside of Bristol. When we arrived, however, and were shown to our room we ended up being disappointed. Room #9 fronts the main drag through town and is VERY LOUD!!! The road goes by just feet away and even with earplugs it was super noisy. Sleep did not come easily both... More

We were 3 females attending an event & decided to make a weekend of it...prior to arrival the communication & cooperation of Mark, the Proprietor was second to none. On arrival, we pulled up outside and we couldn't believe how beautiful the hotel was and its characteristics inside were fabulous, I felt like Alice in Wonderland. Rooms were great &... More

What a lovely quaint hotel, very nicely decorated with gorgeous beams. Do remember to duck through the bedroom doors though! Decorated to a lovely standard and loved the little touches of pots of shampoo, conditioner and shower gels etc. Only downside would be that the room was very hot (we stayed in room 4 and friends stayed in room 6)... Utterly charming hotel in Chipping Sodbury. The room was very light and airy and fantastically large, with a wonderfully heated bathroom. The carpet was so soft you could bounce on it, and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. Parking was safe and off-street, to the rear of the property in an enclosed space, and breakfast in the morning was... More

A lovely hotel in the charming town of Chipping Sodbury. A warm welcome, very clean and comfortable, spacious room in a house full of olde-world character. Safe parking at the rear of the property and an excellent choice at breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and hope to do so again in the future.

I stayed here recently with friends, for 2 nights. It's a small hotel in a good location in Chipping Sodbury, with a reasonable amount of private parking. The rooms are a good size, clean and recently renovated (it's quite an old building). Breakfast is very good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
