The setting is tranquil. Rooms are very comfortable, quiet and updated; five rooms in total. Breakfast superb. Giles (the concierge) set up several days of winery tours and tastings, all private or very small groups at top Bordeaux wineries. A wonderful educational and enjoyable experience. Not to be missed. This B&B is perfect and should be chosen for any Medoc... More

Staying at Ormes de Pez is an extraordinary experience. From the moment of arrival on the white gravel drive, walking up to the magnificent front facade and stepping through to the grand entry, you know that your visit will be memorable. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious and quiet. Superb breakfast. Some guests may find the old-style bathtub... More

Chateau Ormes de Pez was a great find - you really do feel like royalty in your own chateau - way out in the country, in beautiful surroundings - vineyards in every direction. Gilles de Marcellus, the intendant of the chateau, was amazing - he arranged winery tours for us, and also cooked a special lamb dinner for us and... More

Chateau Ormes de Pez is a beautifully converted old house where you still feel all of the original charm, history, and beauty. It has a personal feel, but at the same time providing nice privacy. Staying there felt like being invited to stay at a nobleman's vacation house in the heart of the most famous wine country on earth. :)... More

Stay here for work trip arrange by UCG group tasting. No complaints at all, perfectly clean, well set up, maintain facilities! Maybe should have a shower curtain in the bathroom to avoid the water to splashing? Just make the cleaning task easier and avoid slippery floor.

Very good accommodation at a reasonable price in a small chateau - only 3 rooms. Very good, carefully prepared breakfast. We went off season and were lucky enough to have the whole Chateau for ourselves for part of the time. Very good location for visiting Chateau Lynch-Bages (visit can be arranged by the host, Mr. De Marcellus), Chateau Mouton Rotschild... More

Les Ormes des Pez is a well maintained, comfortable country chateau in the hamlet of Pez just outside the sleepy village of St. Estèphe. In other words a great place to dial down whatever cares may have accumulated during the day. Our room was spacious and comfortable with excellent internet access and lots of outlets for charging devices. The bathroom... More

I don't want to pour cold water on all of the positive reviews, but I need to be honest. My sense is that all of of the positive ratings are attributable to a combination of the great property and location and the hard work that Gilles puts into it. On the other hand, the facility itself is a bit worn... More

We stayed here for only one night but we wished it could have been for longer. We were given a warm & friendly reception and looked after extremely well. Our room, on the first floor, was at the front of the château facing the road and looking over the vineyards of St Estephe. It was comfortable, clean and quiet and... More

This small bed and breakfast hotel in a small village in the Medoc is a find. The rooms are what you would expect when visiting a friend only with 5 star touches. The terrace overlooking the garden and the vineyards is a fabulous place for aperitifs served by Gilles the concierge . Gilles can arrange tours of wine chateaux if... More
