We stayed her for a few nights in the private room. Unfortunately it was pretty hot and stuffy, despite opening all the windows and waking the fan on high. Could of done with a nice blast of aircon. But most evenings we would chill on the hammocks upstairs where there was a decent breeze to cool you down. We also... More

Excellent stay, freindly staff who many seem to be putting in long days/ hours! The common areas are very nice and the rooftop view spot with the hammocks as well. The food is also very excellent at the hostel. Try the filet Mingon! Highly recommended!

The hostel is located a short walk from the shore, not so far that it's a pain, but far enough that it's quiet and pleasantly laid back. We stayed in a room that had two turbo-charged ceiling fans, so it wasn't too hot to sleep at night. The bathroom had a big, stone shower. The water is cold to lukewarm... More

Perfect location - we walked around taganga completely and in my opinion this is in the best location. Nice friendly atmosphere, great food (the mignot as you will read in other reviews is so good!!), nice rooms with safes/fans, amazing roof terrace, the girl on reception is fluent english, french, flemish and of course spanish - maybe more, who knows... I stayed here for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great food, very helpful friendly staff, rooms spacious and clean. The courtyard is so inviting and pleasant. Great views of the Bay, short 5 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Taganga.

I found La Casa San Felipe to be a good value. Private and dorm-style backpacker rooms are available. Our private room was spacious, simply decorated and had its own bathroom. There was no AC in the room, but (fortunately!) there was a large ceiling fan which helped with the heat. Like other reviews have mentioned, there's no hot water. The... More

No AC, moody receptionists, far for the centre and let down by the restaurant so I wouldn't recommend this place at all to be honest. I'd honestly recommend stay in st Marta rather than taganga anyway bar if you are scuba diving. Also it's shocking that the restaurants does not accept credit cards when the hostel does!

I wasn't a big fan of Taganga, but Casa de Felipe is a cool spot. Huge and beautiful hostel, hammocks everywhere, big bbq, huge terrace with sea view, very green, loved it! It is maybe too big for a solo traveler, it's hard to make contact with others because of the size. But if you travel in a group it's... More

In a quite corner, up a little hill at the back of Taganga center. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Our room with its own little balcony, facing the town and the sea was just right. it had a little kitchen and fridge to cool our wine for the evening sunset show. No hot water, but this wasn't necesarry because... More

After the airless heat of Santa Marta, this was literally a breath of fresh air. I had a large, comfortable room with no need for the ceiling fan after dark. The staff were OK and the meals were good enough for me not to need to go elsewhere. The roof terrace is the breeziest place of all and is ideal... More
