Not an experience we would particularly wish to repeat! We had little in the way of choice of b&b establishments in Kinlochewe, for a final 'Munro bagging' & gathering of friends, which was being held at the local 'Whistle Stop Cafe' that evening, which was itself excellent. Unfortunately our first impression of the Kinlochewe Hotel, was less than inviting, (we... More

A bit weird because on the evening we arrived, after a decent hill climb/walk of 5 hours, we got the impression that we needed to fit in with mine host's timings for dinner - or else!? Not a great ambience in the bar - bar staff should be comfortable enough to engage conversations, not have conversation dragged out of them.... More

We were staying in beautiful Kinlochewe, and we thought, all the better for having a hotel. We had been for a walk, it was a lovely day and we fancied a pint of real ale with our lunch. (The menu in the window said lunches were available from 12:00 til 2:00) and it was now past 1 o'clock. So we... More

I popped in here the other evening for dinner. I had the T bone steak which was excellent as were all the other plates of food that I saw passing my table on their way to the lucky recipients. But the highlight of the evening was the selection of 5 (Yes 5!) Real Ales and 1 Real Cider. Of course... More

Overnighted here when on a " Highland Hoon " Andrew and Gail could not have been nicer and I found the hotel spotlessly clean and the food and staff were perfection, I could not have asked for more, 5* recommended!!

My husband and I stayed two nights here after booking it as they accept dogs as well as people! We have a rather energetic lab/collie cross and a cocker spaniel who like to go pretty much anywhere with us so we were very pleased to see that they are dog friendly. We stayed in Room 4 which is on the... More

What a delightful review. Thank you. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us: the comfort of the room; the food and the general ambience we try to create for our guests. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit - as did Beinn, our dog, who had great fun running about the garden with two lively pals.... More

A party of us stayed in the Bunkhouse over the Easter weekend and wished we could have booked elsewhere after our ecperience. The Bunkhouse has not changed for years and remains in a time warp. No lids on the pots, a A A party of us stayed here over the Easter weekend and it looks as though the bunkhouse has... More

I would like to point out to anyone reading this review, (or the previous one "Highland Hospitality" written by another member of the same group) that these people stayed with us for several days and NOT ONCE did they air any grievances or problems to us. They were friendly and chatty (to our faces!) and we were completely unaware of... More

Booked into this hotel over theEaster break for 3 nights. I asked if they could accomodate my dog and they told me there was an adjoining room for this purpose, the room had a plug in heater with NO power point. The double bed mattress was totally sprung and very uncomfortable . The ensuite shower room was so small I... More

It is such a pity that you didn't spent the time to voice your opinions when you were staying with us for three nights - we had many very friendly chats and laughs with you while you were here so I find it amazing - and very hurtful - that you were harbouring such discontent. You obviously did not enjoy... More

I went in on a road trip after being to the post off along the road said there may be rooms. Also my 3 year old girl needed the toilet and was told at post off the public ones would be closed. I had intentions of killing to.birds with one stone get a room let my daughter pee. Was welcomed... More

I am sorry you thought I "snapped" at you when you came in with your daughter to use our toilets. It was certainly not intended. As you know, I was busy helping one of our hotel guests when you came in and if I seemed curt then I apologise sincerely. I broke of from talking to our guest and informed... More

My friends and I went here for a few drinks when staying in the area. Not long into our first pint I was barked at by the owner for putting a log on the fire. Needless to say we quickly finished our drinks and left. I will not be returning!

I am sure anyone reading this post will fully appreciate that it is extremely bad manners for someone to interfere with things that do not belong to them. I cannot imagine going into someone's house and poking about with their fire without permission !!!! You omit to say that our "fire" is actually a wood burning stove and not an... More
