My wife and I had an enjoyable two night break and were very happy with the hotel. The accommodation was clean and well presented and the atmosphere welcoming. We ate in the bar both nights and the food was excellent, complimented by some good real ales and a superb choice of malt whisky. A fine example of Scottish hospitality.

We very much enjoyed our one-night stay at Kinlochewe Hotel, even though our time was cut short because of family illness. We have always seen the hotel as standing at the gateway to the wonderful Torridon landscapes and the glens and hills of Loch Maree and beyond. We had previously visited the hotel for meals and thought that we would... More

Arrived late in the evening after a long day on the hills. Was greeted by the owner Gail, who was very friendly and helpful, who instantly made us feel welcome. The room was clean, and spacious. There was no t.v. Fortunately after a delicious meal ( poached pear with blue cheese and walnut ice cream was exceptional) we were so... More

After a really bad start to a few days away we found this hotel through Inverness tourist board and what a find. The hotel owners were so welcoming and helpful, we also had a meal my friend had the fish and I had a lamb stew which was delicious. When I came home and read other reviews I was very... More

Myself and a friend have just finished a four day motorbike tour of Scotland. Our second nights accommodation was the Kinlochewe Hotel. We arrived on Saturday afternoon to a lovely warm welcome from Gail. She showed us to our room and explained about the facilities, as our room had a shared bathroom which we had known about when we booked.... More

What on earth is the Tourist Board doing giving this 3 star Hotel rating? It could make it as 2 star Inn, but prices would have to plummet. Because of high demand and shortage of supply in this area, this establishment is clearly taking advantage of customers but is undermining the reputation of Scotland as a hospitable destination as a... Not an experience we would particularly wish to repeat! We had little in the way of choice of b&b establishments in Kinlochewe, for a final 'Munro bagging' & gathering of friends, which was being held at the local 'Whistle Stop Cafe' that evening, which was itself excellent. Unfortunately our first impression of the Kinlochewe Hotel, was less than inviting, (we... More

A bit weird because on the evening we arrived, after a decent hill climb/walk of 5 hours, we got the impression that we needed to fit in with mine host's timings for dinner - or else!? Not a great ambience in the bar - bar staff should be comfortable enough to engage conversations, not have conversation dragged out of them.... More

We were staying in beautiful Kinlochewe, and we thought, all the better for having a hotel. We had been for a walk, it was a lovely day and we fancied a pint of real ale with our lunch. (The menu in the window said lunches were available from 12:00 til 2:00) and it was now past 1 o'clock. So we... More

I popped in here the other evening for dinner. I had the T bone steak which was excellent as were all the other plates of food that I saw passing my table on their way to the lucky recipients. But the highlight of the evening was the selection of 5 (Yes 5!) Real Ales and 1 Real Cider. Of course... More
