I stayed for 3 nights at Pedras (in November) which is conveniently placed for some excellent golf courses - the reason for my visit. I booked a studio room for £20 a night through tripadvisor and was impressed by the size and cleanliness of the ground floor room. I was alone but there were three proper beds in the room... More

Stayed here for four nights back in August and it was just fabulous. Cabanas is brilliant as there aren't many tourists compared to the likes of Albufeira which I found horrible. The locals are ever so friendly and the food is simply amazing. The apartments are fantastic. Very comfortable, fitted with everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is... More

We stayed in a self-catering apartment, equiped with everything you need or would want during a beach holiday! The vila itself is very well managed, is walking distance to the beach and train station, which makes it perfect if you don't have a car. The staff was 5 stars, always super nice and helpful. I really liked going to the... More

The resort is lovely quiet and relaxing but the accommodation is pot luck!! ours was dark and VERY dated. Disappointing as the resort was nice and Cabanas was beautiful.will go back to Cabanas but book a flat on the front

If you prefer traditional low rise (2 story) and a bit of character, set in well maintained grounds, within easy walking of village centre, friendly helpful staff, nice size pool serviced daily, good food, access to lawn bowling green (for small fee) with access to lovely club house, and several tennis courts, oh! and free water taxi over to Cabanas... Hardly value for money, poor quality, fixtures and fittings in desperate need of updating, Cleaning of room often after 7pm, poor lighting, uncomfortable beds. Convenience of resort to coast was only upside of visit.

Pedras da Rainha in Cabanas is very well placed. Walking distance to the boat (Hotel owned - free of charge) that takes you to one of the nicest beaches in Portugal, supermarkets just beside, great restaurants around. Don't really need car while staying there. Tennis courts available against 5 euros per hour and a good swimming pool are part of... More
