I agree with so many of the previous comments. We received a very warm welcome. Our table was in front of a lovely warming fire. Witches circles on the floor in front of the fire to stop the evil spirits coming down the chimney. Great beer and really good creative menu. We had the meal of the day which was... More

Having discovered this lovely old Inn last November, we have now visited three times and it didn't disappoint. The food as always was excellent, the staff very friendly helpful and we enjoyed the lovely warm fires in all rooms on a rather chilly March day. We love the area and will be back.

Have eaten here every year for last 10 years during the Cheltenham Festival but 2015 was my first stay. Fantastic, historic building. Great selection of real ales & all of the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Made it a lovely stay. Thanks to Nigel & all at the Fleece.

We have been to the Fleece numerous times over the years & we've always found the Staff friendly & helpful , the food quality & choice is great & seasonal too.The drink selection is large , the Ales are well kept & change frequently (the Fleece has won numerous CAMRA awards). We have even stayed overnight & found the room... More

A great Pub with excellent food. I pre-booked a table as there is a restricted area where dogs are allowed. The staff were very friendly and efficient and even brought a water bowl for my dog. Car parking is beside the village green

This is a perfect country inn, with good food, good drinks, cosy rooms, open fires, welcoming staff, nice atmosphere and beautiful period building. I had cod & chips which was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality. (I've sometimes paid nearly twice as much for very average fish & chips in other places). The staff were very friendly and... More

We were very disappointed in the one and only room in this wonderful old inn. The room was dusty, the ceiling full of cobwebs, the bathroom freezing and there was no milk for our coffee in the morning. Our lunch was average but our breakfast was fantastic and could not be faulted. We went for the Wassail which was a... More

Thank you for taking the time to bring to my attention the points you raised, I have acted upon the issue of the cold bathroom and have spoken to the Duty Cleaner. Kind regards Nigel Smith More

From start to finish was faultless. The staff went out of their way to make me and my dog welcome. Bed was a dream comfort wise and all linen, toiletries etc top of the range. Dinner was delicious, and house wine much better than normal pub offerings.breakfast was also faultless. the overall atmosphere of the whole place is amazing and... More

What a treat - something I've long wanted to do, stay over at The Fleece. It was lovely to stay and be part of this great pub, with its warm atmosphere and ancient decor. This is quite possibly the only National Trust place that is actually run well (thanks to Nigel Smith). The pub is an old thatched property with... More
