The fleece inn was recommended to us by polyannas bridal shop in Warwick (an excellent shop with fantastic and honest service by the way). The recommendation was a good one. The location was special, nestled between a church, a typical English green and some wonderful thatched cottages, lay an unassuming pub that is so out of the way, it could... More

Having visited the excellent and not so far away Hidcote Manor Gardens we had our second dose of National Trust properties in the shape of this historic gem. Only stopped for a brief lunch so I am not suggesting that I have the whole picture but I ordered two starters Asparagus Soup and Ham Hock Croquettes. Not sure why I... More

The Fleece Inn is TA ranked ironically a less than commmanding number 1 of all of the pub/dining establishment options in Bretforton, and that's unfortunate as there are no other potential contenders in the village to overshadow. Better to speak of its truly commanding position in wider geographic frameworks such as Evesham, Worcestershire or beyond. This dining options occasionally seek... More

Called for a meal and we were lucky to get a table (it was however a Sunday evening). The meal was good and the service excellent and we were not rushed. Good selection on the menu. It's worth a visit just to see the inside of the pub.

We booked for one night to join family on their holiday. The place was very busy but we were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We ate lunch on arrival gorgeous food at reasonable prices. Hubby loved the real ale and I enjoyed the cider. Shame we could only spend one night. The breakfast was amazing local... More

I came here for a few drinks with my partner and friends. The garden is so nice and well-preserved. There is always a pleasant atmosphere here and the staff are always so nice. The drinks we had were nice too. Cannot fault this place even if I tried!

We visited the fleece with a friend one afternoon, intending to have a drink in the garden and then a bite to eat when the kitchen opened. We were quite put out to have a 'reserved' sign drop on the table in front of us. So of course we looked around for another place to sit, only to find that... More

Invited round to see old mates, they stayed overnight, we joined them for a couple of drinks. The Fleece was originally built in the 1700s. It is a thatched building with so much history and character. Our friends said the rooms were comfortable, and the food is really nice. The service was good in a nice atmosphere. Around 7.30 a... The Fleece Inn is owned by the National Trust and is an amazing venue, We stayed in the only room in this historic inn ( check the website ), also ate in the amazing dining/bar area. Excellent breakfast and interesting chat with the landlord about the history of the place. Highly recommended!

I frequently visit this pub whilst visiting my family who are from the area. This is a beautiful country pub, owned by the National Trust, which is full of history, standing in the centre of a beautiful area of the village. I have not eaten here so can't comment on food. Visiting the fleece is like visiting a museum, it... More
