My family really enjoyed our vacation at Severn Lodge. The food was excellent and they were very accommodating for a nut allergy. Lunches were great - there were two outdoor barbecues and you could sit anywhere you liked outside and the wait staff came to serve you drinks. The staff was all very courteous and friendly. The sandy beach was... More

Meals were generally very good. Breakfast was always the same as far as the eggs went (scrambled) but you could order something else although this was not advertised. Having a standard dinner option as well would have been nice such as a plain steak or pork chops. Not everyone cares for sauces and gourmet ingredients every night. Servers hard-working, attentive,... More

I couldn't have asked for a better vacation with my 5 year old son! We had plenty of time together playing in the sand and pedal boating, plus he had hours of kids club activities every day which gave me a chance to relax and enjoy some me-time. The kids club far exceeded my expectations. The instructors were phenomenal and... More

Sometimes you cannot go back again. My wife and I enjoyed two vacations to Severn Lodge and we tried to enjoy a third one. Our regular room was not assigned to us and we were put in a very similar room. However, it was very dark and tired. The bathroom was miniscule and there was no shelf on which to... More

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the Victoria Day weekend at Severn Lodge. It was our first visit there and upon arrival we were a little unsure where the check in was. There were only 2 signs that indicated "No parking for more than 10 minutes". Of course that meant check in was straight ahead, but it would have been... More

We have not stayed at the resort, but visit by boat during the summer. Lunch is very good. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The resort is a piece of 'old Muskoka'. We love going for a visit and take all of our visitor there on our way to 'Big Shute'. Well worth the effort.

We went to Severn Lodge the second week of September for an extremely excellent off season price. We went Monday- Friday morning for less than $275.00. There was only about 3 couples staying there and we had a great time.. no crowds, access to all water equipment, pool and full breakfast was included in the price of the room. Dining... More

Severn lodge has two big things going against it. Small dark dingy rooms, and very expensive rates. The definition of Dingy is gloomy and drab, and that is what these rooms are like. We rented a two bedroom cottage for a single night - the one bedroom cottages were so dark and dingy we had to upgrade to the two... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay at Severn Lodge. I am sorry to hear that the room you stayed in did not meet your expectations. All of our rooms except for 4 rooms have been totally redecorated over the past 3 years, and those last few are due to be redecorated for our 2014... More

My husband and I and two grandchildren (ages 5 and 3) spent four nights at Severn Lodge. The lodge is well maintained and has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. There are numerous activities for children and adults alike, and the kids clubs are staffed with wonderful teens who were clearly enjoying themselves while caring for their charges. We chose to do... Our family enjoyed our 5 night stay at Severn Lodge. Accommodations are basic, staff very good. Our kids (aged 8 and 5) enjoyed the Kids' Club; staff are very flexible and look after the kids well. This kind of kids' program is pretty rare at other resorts it seems, and they do it well. Lake is really weedy -- would... More
