An amazing property! Every room and public area has an unobstructed view of the lake! Absolutely magic !Room had everything, good bed, nice shower etc. Dinner and breakfast of a high standard, again with that magic view of the lake. Linus, the young man at reception, and later the waiter, was extremely polite and helpful. The town itself is clean and tidy and enjoyable to walk... More

We asked if they had bigger rooms, but were assured they had only regular double rooms. When I went to pick up towels (the room had no bath towels) a couple ordered a suite. I asked, and they said it was more expensive (I never even discussed price), but sadly now it was taken. I felt stupid, cheated and less... More

Friendly staff and a nice small town. The room standard was average or below. The view over the lake is really nice. Friday night the restaurant closed at 9pm, on sunday at 8pm. Obviously there no room service on sundays, but that didn't show on the bill. Breakfast had a large variety, but the scrammbled eggs did taste like sawdust... More

In northern Scandinavia good hotels are not easily found outside the larger towns as Sundsvall, Umeå, Luleå, Bodø, Tromsø and a few others. If you take the inland E45 through Lappland this is particularly true. One of those few good hotels is the hotel Wilhelmina, situated in Vilhelmina, a small town with around 4000 inhabitants. The situation is very convenient... More

This is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms, all with a fine view of Lake Volgsjön. The staff were friendly. While not lavish, breakfast was adequate. The hotel is a short uphill walk from the Inlandsbanan station, and the 45 bus (the long distance bus to Østersund and Gällivare) stops outside, so this is therefore a good place to stay... More

This was our second stop on our way up north on the Inlandsbanan. We left totally refreshed and pleasantly surprised. The hotel overlooks a beautiful expanse of water and green trees. Make sure it the weather is fine that you breakfast/dinner on their terrace. The food is top notch. Also bring your swimmers and bubble away while looking a wall... More

Nice and comfortable hotel. Lovely jacuzzi and sauna with huge glass windows out onto the lake. Good food in the restaurant. Must be the best in wilhelmina. Near to the oldest street and not far from the church. pleasant staff.

This was a great spot to stop at on the way down from the North cape. The rom was nice, the bathroom OK, the rates excellent and the staff friendly. It even had a flat screen TV! The bed was good too.

The hotel is spelt Wilhelmina but generally the town is called Vilhelmina. Spent many nights at this hotel over the years, ask for a room overlooking the lake (frozen in winter) and it's a nice place to relax. Breakfast is typical Swedish fayre and the restaurant is ok but I've never seen it very busy, the bar, like any other... More
