Wow. With such stunning, traditional surroundings it is a shame this hotel is so old and worn down. In its' heyday - 30 years go (?) I am sure it was the place to be. But the owners have obviously not invested one extra won too much in order to stay in business. Basically needs to be shut down, gutted... More

Jeonju Core Riviera Hotel -- an older hotel with nice comfortable rooms. This hotel is conveniently located right at the Hanok Village. WIFI in the lobby is free; use of PC in the business corner is free; there is a charge for use of internet modem in the room. No hot water maker in the room.

This hotel has all the amenities and is very adjacent to the village. This hotel is a best choice for travelers who visits Jeonju for the first time. The breakfast is just awesome. The traditional houses in Jeonju are very near by, within walking distance.

As of May 2013, this is the only 5-flower (equivalent of 4 stars) hotel in Jeonju, South Korea. For those who are not familiar, Jeonju is home for some 650k people, and has been famous for (traditional Korean) gastronomy and historical sites. Its history goes back to 8th Century when one of the ancient tribes called Hu-Baekjae settled down. I... More

Core Riviera Hotel is in the perfect location for a visit to Jeonju, right next to the Hanok village, but that is all this hotel has going for it. I can see how this would have once been a five star hotel, but that was many years ago. It is now in desperate need of refurbishment. The interiors are very... More

the only reason to stay in this hotel is the location. Former five star hotel that should be renovated: rooms are large, a bit dull and should be refurbished; bath rooms are outdated. Beds are small, mattresses very hard. No breakfast buffet, but à la carte: too expensive and average quality of food. Staff is friendly, speaks well English (not... More

This hotel is probably the best choice if, like most tourists, you are here to visit the Hanok Village historical site. It is only about one block downhill from the hotel to the the village. One very nice feature is the fact that all rooms are equipped with a digital computer so that you can access Facebook, check email and... More

A recent stay at the Jeonju Riviera Hotel while on business in that city was enjoyable. There are not many choices in this city in South Korea, and this hotel is one of the best. It is located in a newer section of the city. The room was comfortable. There were two beds in the room: one twin and one... More

Stayed in this hotel for one night due to a business meeting. Its located a bit outside in a nice green area close to an area with traditional houses. The good points. Rooms are spacious, and you have a good view of the surrounds as there are no big highrisers blocking the view. The hotel has a gym and a... More

The first warning should've been that they charged you for your stay before you even got your room key. The second should've been the can of bug killer on the mini-bar. To top it off, there was still a crushed bug stuck to the wall which apparently went unnoticed by the cleaning maids. Then when I decided to check out... More
