We stopped in Bungay by chance on a slightly longer drive when hunger struck! So glad that we did. Lovely little town, and this restaurant was just around the corner from where we'd parked. One of those places where everything on the menu looks so delicious that you cannot decide. Upon recommendation, I went for the ribs - fantastic. All... More

Today my wife and I dined at this location great food, wonderful location and the inn has excellent accommodation too. the town is quiet and traditional and is the sort of place you conjure up when you think of a nice traditional english rural town. It has a castle ruin and gardens , a wonderful church , a river where... More

Various members of our family met at the Castle Inn by chance for lunch after long wearisome journeys, before a funeral. We hadn't booked - but the staff were immensely helpful and we had a really delicious meal: the chef worked hard to meet our time constraints - it couldn't have been nicer.

Had a very enjoyable evening here on Friday at the TASTER night - seven small courses and accompanying wines - all served hot ( and cold) and beautifully by friendly and informative staff. The food was , as described, a taste of something that might make its way onto the menu and so there wasn't any choice - it just... More

I have stayed at The Castle Inn a couple of times now, it is the nicest lower priced hotel i have stayed in. They have 4 themed rooms, we have stayed in 2 different ones, both as nice as each other. And they do an excellent breakfast, I had scrambled egg on toast, my wife had poached egg on toast,... More

This small restraunt is so lovely and clean. The chef on saturday night was so polite as we asked for a few changes and he made them for us. The waitress was so polite. I would highly recommend this place.

We had intended to go to the St Peter's Brewery for lunch, which has apparently been closed for some time (I really should check Trip Advisor more thoroughly!) so to find this warm and welcoming pub still serving food was most welcome and when it came we realised that all really has turned out for the best. Gorgeous chips, lovely... More

My sister and I stayed here 3 nights over the Christmas period whilst spending Christmas with nearby family. We had the twin bedded room which was quite large with en suite modern bathroom. Everything sparkling white plus very well equipped coffee/tea making facilities. Tanya, the owner and all her staff were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.... More

Booked hotel last minute by my office so not sure what to expect. Had all the mod cons of large hotel but much more private. Wi Fi in room worked fine and had some nice little touches in room to make 1 night stay very enjoyable. Eat in restaurant at hotel - food was very good (try the fish pie).... More

We booked our room some months ago to ensure availability on the night before Bungay's annual Christmas Fayre and a table for dinner on our night of arrival. The room was ready when we arrived and we initially parked at the free car park at the rear of the hotel. As Earsham road is closed for the seasonal event from... More
