This is a lovely guesthouse with excellent accommodation, top quality breakfast and a very helpful owner (Sarah). The house is very impressive and the room we had (room 2) was huge with lovely views over the front garden. The full breakfast was large and cooked with top quality produce. Sarah gave us lots of useful information regarding local places to... More

We stayed here for a few days with other members of our family. The owners were very helpful and the cottage well equipped and clean. It's not far from the sea down quite a steep hill to the unspoilt beach of Freshwater East. The area is very quiet so a good place to relax and unwind. Wifi spasmodic.

Stayed in the Bull Pen for a week, great well equipped cottage, modern, clean, great location. View could be better as farm buildings hide the views, but that's the only negative. Is rented Friday to Friday which may put some off. Owners who also run the B&B are friendly and helpful.

My wife and I saw Portclew House when Steve and Sarah first started work on it. They said they wanted to have a place of the highest standards possible. That was 13 years ago. They really succeeded and have kept up those standards over the years. Lovely, tastefully decorated rooms; always a friendly welcome and an amazing breakfast! We'll be... More

This is a delightful bed and breakfast house perched up on the edge of Freshwater East. It is on the road coming in from Lamphey and does not overlook the bay or the sea, although we discovered you can actually see the sea on the horizon looking south from a room at the front of the house if you peep... Quite simply my family and I loved the place. Our room was spacious, the hosts were super friendly, the hotel itself was charming and quaint - what more could you ask for? Oh yes, good value too! Will certainly return and recommend. Also close to gorgeous beaches.

the hotel is great, the rooms are well kept, and the breakfast is quite generous and well cooked the couple (apologies i forget their name) who run the house are also very helpful and informative my only issue staying here was the distance from the beach and being without a vehicle i really should have stayed somewhere else.

This is a really very good quality & extremely comfortable B & B in a great location on the edge of Freshwater East. The whole accommodation has been superbly renovated with good size rooms including excellent furnishings. Very comfortable beds offering a great night's sleep. The breakfasts are full of local produce & sets you up perfectly for the day.... More

I stayed here for just one night. It was lovely. The family who run it were all very pleasant and very helpful. The room was spacious, clean and light. We were given good instructions as to where to visit, and how to find our way - which wasn't as easy in the dark coming home, but we made it eventually.

We stayed in the Coach House and the Dairy (four and three bedroomed self-catering accommodation). We had four adults and children ranging from 18 to 6. The accommodation is very high quality, comfortable, and well equipped, although not at the luxury end of the market. The self-catering cottages are set in the grounds of the main house which acts as... More
