We got 5 rooms for 20+ people including kids and babies. They have 2 swimming pools. You are given 30min free 2sets of kayaks a day per room or the use of the billiards table. The resort has a nice mangrove area beside it that you can kayak through. Beach not for swimming. So if you are looking for beach... More

We originally booked a family room but confirmed to just get the La Merea (6pax). Our day started with a small confrontation about the booked rooms. Good thing I was able to show them the sms I sent plus call summary the day I confirmed with our booking. Be the usual tourist even if you don't go away from the... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the La Marea room costing P6k. The room was very clean. But it seems rather expensive as you have to pay an extra P1000 for an extra mattress on the floor since we were 5 people. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included but it was just a plated breakfast: one hotdog,... More

This is the only resort I know who has cooking facilities but charge you to cook there anyways...they charge P 1000 each time you want to cook so that's P 3000 just to cook 3 meals for a day!...so ...your only option would be to eat at their very expensive restaurant. It's a great resort but definitely not worth it... More

The resort is very beautiful. The garden is vey well maintained and while most accomodations have stony beach fronts, punta riviera's beach has fine golden white sand. Also, the fact that they have a river inside adds up to the resort's allure. Unfortunately, we were on a tight budget and we could not afford the rooms so we decided to... More

We were staying at another resort and while walking around we decided to dine at this resort. Looking over the menu we decided on Beef Hamburger. While waiting for 30minutes to our surprise the plate only had a salad and 2 beef patties (small and thin). We asked where are the buns and the waitress tells us if we wanted... More

The owners, Aileen and Ian were wonderful hosts. They take pride in the amazing gardens and resort they have created. Aileen and Ian are still using there imagination and creative talents to add onto their resort. We enjoyed the kayaking trip up the peaceful river. Also the serene beauty of the pools and grounds. Staff trained to international standards delivered... More

Punta Riviera is an old resort which showed renovations during our visit this year. Despite the ongoing construction, the noise was barely heard because of the children playing and being pre-occupied with the scenery and nature. The repair and construction were not so bad at all. In fact, there was this new pool and a bridge was built to connect... More

Note that this review is based off a trip back around June/July 2011. The staff was wonderful - the owners' son was very welcoming and their prices were very reasonable. The only issue when we first came were the crickets in the rooms (there were about 10-12 of us). There were a lot of them and they had to do... More

Our big family stayed for one night and booked 2 family rooms which can accomodate 20 guests each . The rooms are very basic, with only one small TV in each , and 2 airconditioner as well. They actually have other room options, depending on the budget that you like . Bathroom and toilets are shared outside the rooms ,... More
