We have just spent a relaxing week in Troo, perfect for a quiet escape from the busy life at home. Martial was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, attentive but not intrusive. The location is very quiet and the accommodation is quirky, interesting and extremely tranquil. We will have enduring, happy memories of our time in the Loire.

This area was unknown to us before our holiday in August, and we took a chance on booking L'Ile o Reflets. We need not have worried. This tranquil and charming oasis of natural beauty was simply perfect. Martial our host was warm, friendly and helpful in every way without being intrusive. His advice on restaurants, wines places to visit etc... More

Not at all your conventional B&B! For those who like quirky and unusual places while at the same time enjoying a warm reception in a peaceful and interesting area of France, this is it! Despite our losing his dog within a few hours of arrival, Martial went overboard to make our stay special and we have great memories of a... More

What a fabulous find in a small little villiage with access to all the Loire Castles. Though a bit of a drive from the major Castles, this relaxing retreat is perfect for couples or families looking to escape the business of life. Martial is absolutely fabulous. We were the first guests in his newly renovated guest house and Martial was... More

Behind the electric gates lies an old manor house and a bunch of small empty dwellings overseen by a retired Parisian designer and it shows. Somehow the place reminds you of a film set?! Our room (The flamingo room) was his latest creation and encompassed the whole attic of the house - Don't bump your head - It's not as... More

Absolutely perfect, great host and fabulous spot. We were only able to stay one night but would have loved to stay longer. Exceptionally picturesque, tucked away in a stunning location complete with friendly farm animals. Our room was lovely, quite luxurious actually. Our host was fantastic, very helpful and very generous with his time. All I can say is: Thank... More

A wonderfully peaceful stopover on the trip back to the UK from the Lot Valley. The themed room..'Le Soleille et les Grenouilles' beautiful and very comfortable .I fell asleep listening to the water gently lapping in the mill. Fabulous grounds with gentle walks to walk the dog who was made to feel as welsome as we were. We will return... More
