Spent a night at the Holiday Park before going on the Forgotten Highway Adventure. Very welcoming host. We had a campervan and a cabin for our party of 4. Good standard of accommodation and all facilities were of a high standard. A well equipped kitchen has a very nice shaded outdoor eating area and tubs of herbs that we were... More

This place is convenient, and has all the amenities - kitchen, BBQ, showers, power, water, laundry (extra but much cheaper than in town), and dumping station. Everything is included in the price - so no surprises. The area is quite open so not much privacy.

We stayed two nights in the "Kiwi Cottage" (shown in the picture above) and it was very comfortable. The cottage was great, as it rained a fair bit while we were there and we were happy not to be in a tent! We did the Timber Trail bike ride, so this was our base and it was perfect. Paul from... Spent 2 nights here 1 before doing the Whanganui journey in a tent and one after in a cabin. I have stayed in hundreds of campsites over the years and this is one of the best. Only bad point was no free wifi best touch was the free herb and veggy garden

Of all the places we stayed at during our campervan trip around the North Island in September 2012, this was definitely one of our favourites. It's nothing particularly special in it's location or facilities but there's a real charm about this place and we found it very welcoming and relaxing. It's by a pretty spot next to a river and... We stayed here yesterday. Good value for money. From the outside you can see paint peeling off and looks to be in a sorry state. Inside its got a musty smell. Bad things end here... Great location, hosts are very friendly. We forgot to bring blankets and I wanted it for 2 people, Host gave us a whole lot of... More

Rocked up here over Easter weekend without a reservation but had no issues getting in. The english owner said they've never been full in tHe three years he's owned it. I don't know why. It's a lovely little site with free kayaks to amble along the neighbouring river. Our pooch enjoyed the open space and befriending the pet goat! The... More

I stayed at this Holiday Park the night before tackling the Forgotten World Highway, and I am very pleased to have stayed there. I wanted room to spread out so booked the Kiwi Cottage which could have slept about 8 people, it had a full kitchen with all the pots, pans, crockery etc you would ever need, and a big... More

We cannot recommend this holiday park highly enough. We were a family of 3 adults, 2 children and one baby. We stayed in the cabins one night and the cottage the next. The facilities were excellent with Phil & Helene (owners) providing cooking pots and utensils, crockery and even kitchen linen and detergent to use in the community kitchen. The... More

We stayed at this campsite for one night in a tent and onother one in a cabin. Cabins are basic and very clean. The Staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Showers and toilets were basic and clean. The kitchen was ok even if not very big. A really appreciate the cherry tomatoes produced in the campsite for all the... More
