We stayed here for 1 night. The accommodation is not plush but it is super clean and the only motel that we've stayed in with a TV in each bedroom plus we got given beer on arrival. It is very good value for money. It was great having 2 bedrooms for us and our 7 year old. He was impressed... More

Overnight stay. Couldn't have been treated better for our brief stay. Very helpful. Clean and tidy. Would definitely return. Arrived late but owners arranged to leave a light on and left good instructions on how to get our key. Warm on arrival. A fantastic bed that was soooo comfortable. Thanks

I've stayed with this motel numerous times and always found it to be clean, comfortable and very affordable. On occasion I've arrived after midnight, made arrangements for the room to be open, heater and electric blanket on, and be gone early in the morning, on some visits I haven't even seen the manager! That said, I've always found the manager... More

Stayed here over Waitangi Weekend whilst visiting the Taihape area. The host could have not been more welcoming and helpful and it was lovely to see loads of milk in the fridge in an actual milk jug instead of those modern day plastic containers that don't even make one cup of tea. And the staff topped it up for our... More

We stayed one night in a Studio unit with cooking facilities which was huge with a very comfortable King Size Bed. Our host was wonderful and gave us refreshments and snacks on arrival which I have never come across before. Being off the main street it was nice and quiet. Older style motel but spotlessly clean would happily stay again... More

We stayed here as a family en route to Wellington, and what a retro experience it was. I wasn't alive in the 1960s, but I'm sure this place hasn't changed since then! It's a long way removed from modern motel conveniences but is really rather delightful. The owners were welcoming and helpful - they've been here for decades so obviously... More

There are so many good things to share about this place, not sure where to begin. Never stayed in Taihape before, thought i would try it. Very glad I did. The proprietor gave us the choice of two x 2 br units. Both were spotless. He kindly gave us a complementary drink, crisps and DVD for the kids. The units... More

Stayed here twice this year, at Easter and now Christmas. Hospitality could not have been better, fridge was loaded with 2 litres of milk,1 dozens cold! cans of beer, Howszat? Cupboards had cereal, fresh bread and tea coffee etc. We have been lucky enough to stay in the first of the two old cottages, both occasions we were travelling with... More

One of the most comfortable beds ever encountered. Everything spotlessly clean. Friendly hosts, although we missed meeting Con. Amazing value - and that was before our AA discount. Will be thinking up excuses to stop again.
