Have you ever stayed in a hotel or B&B where the croissants & bread were actually still warm? Your sausages were cooked for you specifically not 5 minutes ago rather than sitting in a catering hot plate for hours awaiting your arrival? Had your breakfast delivered to your room at the time you specified and delivered by a friendly and... More

Chris and Julie are really lovely and so is their son (didn't get to meet their daughter) and their two very soft dogs. They very kindly gave my husband a birthday card and present on his birthday! Rooms are very clean and nicely laid out and good décor. The views are stunning and there are rabbits all over, little baby... More

I booked this B&B as part of a birthday weekend for my partner as i was taking him to River Cottage. Perfect location for the visit, we used a taxi to take us although in the summer it is a very easy walk. We stayed in room 3 which had its own veranda to sit out in. The rooms are... More

We had a lovely stay at Hunterscroft, relaxing walks in their fields and through their woodland a wonderful breakfast hamper and lovely people. It was a short walk to River Cottage HQ (take a torch as it is a fairly narrow fast lane to get there) so perfectly situated if you have booked dinner or an event there, and a... More

Stayed here one night for our visit to River Cottage HQ. Cannot fault, the room was very clean, the owners very friendly and a breakfast to die for. The B&B is ideally located if you are visiting Rive Cottage as it was0 either a twenty minute walk or a short taxi ride.

Unusual format for a b&b which really suited our family. The family room is lovely, spacious, bright, fresh and clean. Really unexpected as you pull off the main road. The rooms are in a separate building behind the owners house, surrounded by decking overlooking rolling fields. The owners were very nice to our children and suggested they could go on... More

After a warm welcome from Julie we were shown to Room 1. This was a lovely spacious room with a separate bed for our daughter. The location was ideal for River Cottage HQ and Lyme Regis and there was a nice pub just a couple of minutes walk away (although busy so worth booking a table). Outside, there were fields,... More

We got a last minute booking here for a visit to River Cottage HQ. Really nice set up. Breakfast in the room is a new experience and so much better than the enforced group meals at other places. Breakfast is good quality and there is a lot of it. The room was really nice, clean and modern. Only thing we... More

We arrived late afternoon and was warmly greated by the owners Julie and chris. Having twin boys and 1 yr old baby we had ample space for both children and travel cot (we brought ourselves). the older boys loved the location and enjoyed meeting the animals on there small holding. Overall great accommodation in an idyllic setting.
